My wife and I have been bottle collector's since the late 1970's when we bought a home in the country of upstate New York and we found our properety had a bottle dump that dated back to the late 1800's.
Thats when my bottle collection begun..I found 2 common historical flasks and a few broken up Saratoga Bottles. My brother and I have dug many bottles in the past finding them buried around the old cellar holes or a dumping area of years ago. I have visited Mt. Pleasant Glass factory which existed in the 1800's and have dug many chards of thier glass..we call this area Glass Factory Mountain (old timers named this) located in Saratoga County, N.Y..
At the present time my collection has grown tremendously and I still lack quite a few Saratoga Bottles to complete my collection I am always looking at garage sales and auctions for these bottles. My two sons still dig bottles in old dumping areas but my health has gone down hill for the past few years so I sometimes go along for the ride .
MY number 1 bottle in my collection of over 25 years is a Success to the Railroad Flask pint light green G.V-3. I have been thinning out my collection mostly because of the room need to display them having recently moved and space becomes a comodity. My Saratoga bottle collection has gotten out of hand..lol..so I have also been selling some of these which I consider them as being very rare and in nice condition.
If you have any Saratoga Bottles or Historical Flasks you want identified or priced please email me at brcw1@nycap.rr.com.
I do attend many local auctions and find vintage items that I put on ebay auctions more or less a hobby for me and it gives me something to do in my spare time..I win some and then again I lose some but all in all I appreciate my customers and thier nice emails. If you have an item that is vintage/antique and you want to know the value or you want me to list this item on ebay please contact me. I have sold everything on ebay including cut glass, cigarette lighters, jack knives, old newspapers and books, bottles, lobster traps, animal traps, fishing poles, fishing lures, cameras and accessories, vintage signs, military uniforms and badges, vintage fire sirens and many other articles...this has helped me identify vintage items and thanks to EBAY I have made friends with all my customers.
Thank you for looking at my about me ebay page. I will be adding to it as time goes by to update it.
