We are living in very beautiful and remarkable country. Uzbekistan is not similar any other country in the world. It is unique. We're very proud of our native land and we want the peoples from the other countries have heard about Uzbekistan. Our country surprises and catches imagination.
Uzbekistan exotic nature can be called a true wonder of the world. High mountains have always been very much attracted by alpine meadows with diverse flora and fauna. There is abundance of sunny all the year. There are deserts with their golden sand-dunes, blossoming oases, endless steppes, riverside tugoi woods, roadside tall poplars' rows. Human ancestors settled in the local mountains hundreds of thousands years ago. A find of the Neanderthal man's skull made by archeologists in Teshiktash cave in Baysun region is the evidence of that. Wonderful rock paintings of hunting scenes were made of ochre in caves of the Baysun mountains 20-30 thousand years ago. Uzbekistan is a crossroad of ancient cultures with historical centres of Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, Shakhrisabz, Baysun, Kokand, Tashkent and others. History of this land is full of secrets and mystic. One of the most interesting pages in the history of Uzbekistan is Zoroastrian cult of eternal fire with its purification ceremonies with sacrifices. Uzbekistan was famoused with life and work of outstanding thinkers and scientists: Akhmad Yassavi, Bakhovuddin Nakshbandi, Al-Khorezmi, Farabi, Beruni, Ali Ibn Sino (Avicenna), Ulugbek, Navoi, Babur and many others. Just imagine, in uneducated and dirty medieval Europe blazed fires of inquisition, but in Samarkand in the same time, its ruler Ulugbek built the most first in the world the real professional observatory! Uzbekistan is located on the ancient Silk Road or Silk Routes, were an extensive interconnected network of trade routes across the Asian continent connecting East, South and Western Asia with the Mediterranean world, including North Africa and Europe. So-called the Great Silk Road was not only conduits for silk, but for many other products and was also very important paths for cultural and technological transmission by linking traders, merchants, pilgrims, monks, missionaries, solders, nomads and urban dwelling from China to the Mediterranean Sea for thousands of years. Trade on the Silk Road was a significant factor in the development of the great civilizations of China, India, Egypt, Arabia and Rome. The most valuable treasure of Uzbekistan is Uzbek peoples. They are very friendly, hospitable, industrious and talented. They are creators of rich artistic culture. Its original architecture, literature, music, folk decorative and applied arts are closely connected with Uzbek peoples traditional way of life and customs. At the same time reflecting its artistic taste and aesthetic world perception formed over centuries, they are integral part of its cultural identity and a special source of pride.
