About
ElectricAuctions.com
ElectricAuctions.com was started back in 1999
under the eBay name MagazineMike. eBay was a hobby for me at that time, and
I noticed that people were buying and selling magazines so I decided that I
could do the same thing. Now almost 10 years later, ElectricAuctions.com has
become quite a handful for me, as I sell closeouts for several warehouses located
in the US.
How did I get here? What makes me special?
A very turbulent road brought me to eBay
and to ElectricAuctions.com. When I first started tinkering with eBay I
was working for BroadBandSports (the official website of more than 250
athletes including Ken Griffey Jr, Anna Kournikova, Brett Favre and others).
I was in charge of e-commerce and managed to generate more than $6 million
in annual sales. My fortey was auctions, and I soon became an auction master
on uBid.com. Unfortunately, BroadBandSports, like many other dot coms that
did not IPO, went under, and I quickly jumped to BuyBidWin.com. I thought
BBW had an opportunity to succeed because it was small (less than 20 employees),
however passed debt caught up to them as well, and the money generated
could not support the company. Before I left, several things happened though
- first I was able to create a successful eBay business for them by using
dropshippers (you can check up on that by searching by seller for bbwshoppinggroup).
We were able to deliver great products to eBay's bidders at low prices
and get great feedback...that is until we ran into money trouble and the
owners of BBW decided to stop paying my vendors from time to time and of
course they didn't ship quickly (thus getting me negative feedback). You
can look through those old feedbacks and see that the negative feedbacks
were never about the service or the products themselves, it was about delays
in shipping (that's what happens when you don't pay your vendors). The
second thing I was able to get from BBW was several great vendors that,
when paid promptly, ship great products within 48-72 hours. If you buy
an AeroBed from me, I usually have a tracking number for you by the next
afternoon...even if you sent your payment at 1 a.m. Eastern time! This
is what I feel makes me special - I care. What I've learned from working
at larger dot coms is that they don't really care about the customer. They
just want the sale. That's not my motto. I want you to be happy about your
product and my service so much so that you tell your friends what a great
deal you got on eBay. That's the only way to succeed. I also take feedback
very seriously. If you have an issue, please let me know because 9 times
of of 10 I can get it fixed quickly. By the same token, if you bid on my
products without any intention of paying, I do complete eBay's non-paying
bidder process so hopefully they will suspend you from bidding and I do
leave negative feedback.
Anyway, I do hope you feel comfortable
shopping with me. I am an eBay powerseller, and if you have any question,
please ask them because I do answer my emails very quickly. To help, you
can also check out my FAQ
and my terms and conditions.
UPDATE: November 2007 - If you are interested in air beds, I've launched AIRBEDWAREHOUSE.COM to special specifically in inflatable furniture.
HAPPY BIDDING!
