Yeah, I suppose I am the world's worst Pack Rat. At least that is what my bride thinks. My "den" is more like a "cave" filled with my treasures, so I called my first business on eBay The Post Card Cave of elliottandme. It is filled with all sorts of stuff that has caught my fancy over the years, most of it I "plan on getting on eBay", but in reality know that I have to live to be about 1000 years old to even make a dent in the piles of prettys. Post cards, hats, Barbie dolls, books, Teddy Roosevelt, the Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, bird watching, teddy bears, Christmas stuff, patterns for clothes, ohmygosh....the list just goes on and on. I have an insatiable appetite for items, and grandios plans on how I am going to become wealthy beyond my wildest dreams selling them. Truth is I am probably just a clever Pack Rat. More clever than some because I generally manage to sell enough to pay for what I keep. Of course the real treasures of my life are not even in the Post Card Cave. They are my children and grandchildren. Two kids, and three grandkids. Love them bunches and don't spoil them nearly enough. I get wrapped up in what I am doing in the Cave and don't spend enough time with them, and Boom another birthday has rolled around and I think "My gosh weren't you just such and such age" and I realize that I am devoting entirely too much time to me and not enough to them. Okay. So, I'll write more later.
