Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my "me" page. Where do I begin? Well, I guess I should tell you that I'm a Jersey girl- and proud of it- JERSEY REPRESENT! I moved to San Diego about 8 years ago and I freakin' LOVE it! Well you know what they say- You can take the girl outta Jersey but you can't take the Jersey outta the girl. It's true. I don't know who they are but they sure know what's up. They say a ton of things. Has anyone ever seen they? Ok- I'm going to stop now... but I've probably lost several of you by now... Anyhoo, back to San Diego... I live in a sweet town named Ocean Beach (I mean really- couldn't they have been a little more creative with the name?) OB is an incredible community of creative energy. I am soooooo happy to be focusing on my craft here! I have never felt more alive. Thank you palm trees! If you haven't noticed already, I'm a tad goofy. What else? I love my doggie Mr. Jebby. He's fantabulous! I am a super social mariposa (that's Spanish for butterfly- San Diego is very close to Mexico). BIG NEWS: I am unveiling a new dog collar line! My sweet brother... I miss you soooo much Steve!!!

Now, about my creations... I have been sewing since 1998. I spent my first several years selling my craft at concerts, on tours, and at festivals. I'm proud to say that I've graduated to selling my work in boutiques and online. I absolutly love designing and using my hands to create beauty. I have never made the same thing twice or used a pattern. Being entirely self-taught, you can expect me to take chances in art- challenging structure, using untraditional fabric combinations, etc. My pieces are truly magical because of all the love & energy I put into them! I also place a ton of emphasis on durability- I want you gals to have my stuff for years to come. Ladies, I am an innovator. Because of this, I have been a victim of "pattern plagiarism" and it sucks. I just can't believe that people would steal from my soul. Ouch!  The moral of this story is to eat grilled lobster tacos- they are delicious. I swear, sometimes I think my brain is missing some puzzle pieces. Thanks for reading my randomnimity. I truly appreciate all of you incredibly sweet gals! It is an honor to be dressing you! Thanks bunches!

Somber news: My brother Stephen J. Marino passed away on June 10th 2007, just 4 days after his 36th birthday. Thanks you for all of your prayers and kind words but the brain tumor had just gotten too aggressive.
