Our Auctions On Our Own Site Are a Proven Success!
WE RECENTLY "CLOSED THE BOOKS" ON 2008, AND NOT ONLY DID WE SET OUR ALL TIME SALES RECORD, BUT WE ALSO HAD OUR FIRST THREE MILLION DOLLAR YEAR EVER ($3,090,269 in sales for the year)!
About Our Business Since 1989, Bruce Hershenson has organized 18 major movie poster auctions (10 for Christie's auction house, 3 for Howard Lowery auction house, and 5 mega-auctions held on eBay in 2001-2004) with total sales of over 10 million dollars! Between 1989 and 1999 he sold over 30,000 vintage movie posters and lobby cards through sales catalogs with sales of over 4 million dollars. In 2000, Bruce opened eMoviePoster on the Internet, which to date has sold over 300,000 items with total sales of over $14,000,000 (over $2.9 million in 2007 alone!). Bruce has also published 42 full-color movie poster books that have combined sales of over 300,000 copies!
About Our Auctions Every Tuesday and Thursday, eMoviePoster adds 300 to 1000 items to our online auctions on our site. All the items begin around 7 PM CST, which means they close the following Tuesday or Thursday night around the same time. If you go to our list of items each Tuesday and Thursday night PRIOR to 7 PM CST, you can view the current items just before they close (so you can make last minute bids), plus you can look at the items for the upcoming week (we add the next week’s items just as the current items close). Each of our weekly sales contain around $20,000-$50,000 of movie posters, lobby cards, and/or other movie paper, and EVERY ITEM starts at just $1, with NO RESERVE on any item, which means these have competitive bidding (where the final prices are set by two or more real bidders, not by you bidding against a reserve). Far too many auctions have sky-high reserves, which is why so many go unsold. Over 98% of OUR over 330,000+ items to date have sold, and in the last couple of years, just about every single item has sold!
