My name is Nanette, thanks for visiting my About Me page. I work from my home studio up in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico. We just recently moved to the Land Of Enchantment, and I have all kinds of new inspiration all around me, so look for new designs coming soon!
I began batiking eggs several years ago, starting with the
traditional Ukrainian Easter Eggs (pysanky) and gradually trying
different things, such as quilt patterns, ethnic designs, original
designs, popular themes and random stuff that caught my interest.
Eventually, I discovered Eggshell Jewelry, in a book
called "Decorating Eggs" by Jane Pollak. While Jane prefers to use duck eggs, I enjoy working with ostrich eggshell pieces, for the sturdy shell and the gently pebbled surface.
If you would like to learn more about how I create my egg art, I
have set up some pages at my Enchanted Hen Productions website that
describe the process. Click on over if you have a sec . . .
