Let's face it. All CDs are round, but not every CD's around. Often, there is a disc-repancy between what you want, and what's still in print. Endangeredcds believes no CD should be left behind. We specialize in rare, out of print or indie hard rock/AOR, glam, metal as well as pop/country/R&B.

...an excellent source of vitamins C and D! |
Well, you found it. My own dark little corner in this
great barrel of monkeys called eBay . (Of course,
barrels are round and have no corners, so if this metaphor
troubles you, please return to the eBay homepage immediately
because what follows probably won't make much sense to you
either.)
SIT RIGHT BACK
AND YOU'LL HEAR A TALE...
My name is Tony Gryner and I washed up onto the shores
of eBay back in February 2000. I was cold and wet, and much in
need of food. I also badly needed money, even though in an
uninhabited coconut economy such as this, cash is hardly king.
(Try: unwashed peasant.) Using eBay as my selling tool, I
managed to keep the wildfires of unchecked Western capitalism
burning bright in the South Pacific. I successfully auctioned
that large chunk of driftwood that had supported my weight and
kept me out of the aquatic food chain upon the churning seas.
Got a whole 15 bucks for it and, with that money, I bought 3
used CDs with the sole intent of re-selling them on eBay. As it
turned out, I over-estimated the Debby Boone market and was now
stuck on a desert island with the last 3 CDs I'd want if
I was stuck on a desert island. (Wait a minute, I am on a
desert island!!!)
Days turned into weeks. Weeks into months. (Then,
unexplainably, months back into days again.) During one long
afternoon as I combed the shoreline for eBayable shells
or dried seaweed formations that half-resembled the faces of old
film stars, I made a mental list of the CDs that I'd take with
me if I was stranded in a comfortable split-level, suburban
bungalow with phone, television and all the attendant utilities.
As the sun poured down on my pitiful existence, I suddenly heard
the sound of propellers beating faintly in the distance. I
reached into my pockets at once, pulled out one of the Debby
Boone CDs, removed the disc frantically from its jewel case and
held it up to the sun. Miraculously enough, the reflection of
the silver side caught the eye of the helicopter pilot and he
descended upon the beach. Now I'm not sure whether it was the
Debby Boone CD or my subjecting him to celebrity Rorschach tests
using seaweed, but for some reason, the pilot assumed I was
suffering from some kind of mental instability brought on by a
lack of human contact!
Well, seeing as CDs helped save my life, I have made it my
mission to return the favor and save the lives of a few CDs.
These are CDs that are rare or no longer in print:
endangeredcds as I like to call them. I find these CDs in
the unlikeliest of places, and then sell them to people who will
take good care of them, enjoy them, water them twice a day and-
who knows?- maybe even appoint them desert island discs!
By the way, in case you were wondering... my adventures on the
desert island? True story. Now I know nobody has bought it, but
I take comfort in the fact that eBay will let me relist it (free
of charge) because it didn't sell the first time! ;)
