Hi there, we are Equus Antiques and have been trading on Ebay since 2000.  The world and Ebay has changed a lot since then, but we are still here bringing to you the eclectic items from the world of antiques and collectables.  We began our retail presence in the real world by trading in the UK at Eton Antique Centre, just across the bridge from Windsor, Berkshire.  This then transferred to become Marlow Antique Centre, Marlow, Buckinghamshire.  In addition we had space at Aspidistra Antiques, Woking, Surrey and at Cedar Antiques Centre, Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.  We started by specialising, as the name suggests, in equestrian items but quickly moved on to buy items appealing to a wide range of collectors from motoring to liner memorabilia, silver to jewellery, paperweights to ephemera, paintings to rugs.  Successful sales at these venues partnered with Ebay necessitated adoption of a virtually full time buying schedule visiting auctions, fairs and antique shops daily to restock.  Regular attendance at the famous Kempton and Ardingly fairs was essential and is recommended for any visitor to the UK.

Due to family commitments we have now returned to our native Australia and after an Ebay hiatus, albeit hectic schedule, return to Ebay to offer items to and from the other side of the planet.  We bring you items fresh to the market from the UK which we were purchasing even in the last days prior to shipping out - dealers never can say no!! - and these will be supplemented as time goes by with Aussie memorabilia and antiques sourced from nearby country clearing sales. So look out for our future offerings of rustic, farming and country memorabilia as many of the large homesteads reach the last generation interested in living on the land.

We endeavour to photograph and describe in detail all the items which we offer for sale - please ask for more information or photos at no obligation.  In the event of an error in the description a refund will be offered.  Please consider optional insurance as our liability for items with no insurance ends upon delivery of the item to the post office.

We prefer direct bank deposit or Paypal, especially for overseas buyers.  We accept Australian $ cheques but require them to clear our bank prior to delivery of your item.  We use recycled packaging materials and do not pass on to you, the buyer, any bank charges, handling or packaging costs.  We declare all costs upfront in the auction, except for optional insurance, so that you may have a clear idea of the cost of postage to your locale.

We give buyers feedback as soon as we know that the sale has been successfully concluded through their posting of feedback or an email to state that the item has been satisfactorily received.

CONTACT IS GOOD!!  In our experience as buyers and sellers on Ebay we believe that there is no such thing as too much contact between interested parties!  How many times we have bought, paid Paypal, only to hear nothing until the item turns up some time later - this is not how we do business and you will be informed every step of the way about the process of the sale.  After all, when you are ordering in good faith from a virtual black hole you need all the assurance you can get, far more than in the real world. We really do appreciate your business and the trading relationships fostered on Ebay are important to us.
