Hi my name is Dede. Erik, the user name on the account is my husband, best friend and expert wood cutter. He also makes fine wood furniture, not for sale but for fun. I am not allowed to use the power tools! At first I thought he was being sexest but then I tried it and was scared to use them, bright lights and silver things do distract me!

The name D2designs comes from my nick name D squared. So I call my art D2designs.

How it all started:

 I won the coloring contest out of the entire 5th grade about 100 kids! I knew I would be an artist someday! (True) 

 I went to college to become some sort of artist but that was an awful expierence. My first art teacher told me I'd never amount to anything as an artist! (HA, what did she know!) I changed my major to Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for 10 years. I am not able to work anymore due to a chronic illness.

I started mounting post cards I received from friends and then giving them back to the person who sent it. They loved it! Thank goodness ART found me again, thanks to so many artists on ebay who give me inspiration and encouragement.  I started out on Ebay mounting textile prints and other prints to wood blocks until I was brave enough to try and paint them myself. We will see how it goes.

I stand up, I fall down, but I keep dancing!
