I have been collecting historical items for over 30 years. I began with Civil War relics from my family farm in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. My autograph collecting started when I was just a child. I would relentlessly write to politicians and celebrities on a regular basis for autographs. However, the main focus of my collection is on President John F. Kennedy.
As a young man I met and became very close to famed collector Robert L. White. He became a major source for my collection as well as my mentor. I remained a close friend to him for over 12 years until his tragic and sudden death in 2003. Upon his death, some of his John F. Kennedy Collection was sold through a major auction house. Fortunately I was able to acquire a large portion of it from his family who I still remain close to.
The Robert L. White collection was recognized by the JFK Library as the finest Kennedy Collection in private hands. His collection was displayed at The Florida International Museum (an affiliate of The Smithsonian Institution) as well as the Franklin Mint Gallery. It was viewed by hundreds of thousands of people over the years. I am very proud to be the new director of The Robert L. White Collection.
