My hand-painted wildlife lampshade business has evolved out of my husband, Paul, and my wholesale lamp business, Dutton Family Sales LLC. He asked me if I could paint moose, deer, and bear on the inside of shades. Since I love painting, I tried it and found it's not so easy painting on a curved, slanted surface from the inside, but I kept at it and kept getting better. Paul has sold 100's of them to stores. Now it's time for me to go retail and what better way than ebay. I have over over 40 scenes I do in either brown or black and I keep thinking up new ones. I've done and still do custom orders at 989-834-5812 and have done some really unusual ones such as scuba divers, a gate to a wildlife ranch, Buffalo, and pet deer. So far everyone has been satisfied. I aim to please!
We live in the country and have our own blue and green spruce woods out back which is home to lots of animals and birds. I can sit painting and watch deer, turkeys, rabbits, and all kinds of birds. Out front I can watch a small herd of horses. Inspiration is all around. Whenver we can we head to the upper penisula and have dreams of going to Alaska. Until then, we will be happy when we can get out to the Seattle area to visit our son, his wife and their 3 little kids-our only grandchildren. They can see Mt. Rainier from their driveway. Talk about inspiration! My hobbies include painting, reading, needle crafts, crosswords, and anything else I can think of to avoid housework!
