I have been sewing for 2 years now, and am very much obsessed and in love. When I bought my very first "cool, punk article of clothing" as a freshman in highschool from Kendra of Rockin' Bones Entertainment, which was called "devilbunnystore" at the time, I fell head over heels for the idea of making your own clothing. Needless to say I got myself a sewing machine later that year, and got to work. Not long after that, I got a serger, and I've been completely self-taught ever since! As far as the legendary question "Do you use patterns?" goes, the answer is no, I do not. If I did, I'd have ripped my hair out of my brain by now with frustration because: A.)Where's the fun in that? and 2.)Me and complex directions and impossible-to-put-back-in-the-pouch tissue paper and me simply are not friends. Everything that you see is One of a Kind, and I do not reproduce a copy of anything that I've previously made. Each garment will be special because it will never have a clone, and that's what its all about for me at this point. One of my biggest inspirations to this day is none other than the gorgeous Amy Doan of Shrinkle, here on ebay and at www.shrinkle.net. Brightly colored life-sized barbie clothes are exactly what I've always dreamed of being on the shelves, but until pop culture comes to see this, you'll all just have to bid to get your paws on the stuff!
