My husband began selling on Ebay to enable me to remain at home care for "elderly sister" Toni. She is 86 years old and needs my help on a daily basis. Even on the days she doesn't know who I am she will say, "I like you the best of all." Now, I don't quite know who "all" of them are, but as long as she has some recognition and is not fearful what else matters? Antoinette is almost 30 years my senior and took great care of me and my other sister as children. My father had passed away just after I had turned seven and my other sister ten. Without Toni I never would have survived childhood. After my dads passing, my mom was required to obtain a minimal paying job, working maximal hours for minimal pay just to keep us going. Toni not only helped support us, but took great of me and my slightly older sister. Now, it is my turn to reciprocate. Ebay assists to do this no longer having a paid job, we can supplement our income slightly. I "thank you" all for bidding and buying ESRUN items as this supports these efforts greatly.

Items are projected to be RFF, returned for refund. Why does this occur? Because it has become a "common
practice" for consumers to replace previously purchased products which are no longer working, or are in
need of a repair to be switched and then returned with a newly purchased of the same item; then returned as defective, or "parts missing." This practice often occurs in attempt to replace, or obtain parts by claiming "missing." The highest number of HP returns involve printers, or similar which
are returned "minus" the included inks, or toner cartridges which have actually been removed. If the retailer questions
the missing content, the buyer simply states, "It wasn't there when I bought it."
Because ESRUN often sells older models, but yet "new" HP scanners and printers we have also experienced these practices. Often "parts" may no longer available, or are too expensive. Most often, I will receive a returned scanner missing several specific parts on the included Automatic Document Feeder, or an entirely different document feeder, or scanner. I have received scanners retuned with the lamps broken, or burnt out and not the serial numbered unit which was shipped out. It is totally "obvious" as these returns are an old, dirty and used of the same item. The "scenerio" is always the same. Upon receipt, the buyer immediately reports they are dissatisfied with
their recent purchase because it is "not new," "broken," or "dirty". The "dirty" issue is almost hillarious as out units are literally "sanitized" to prevent any issue concerning mold which can be present simply from storage. Even though "new" our units are cleaned carefully and well. The buyer will then request a "refund" and they definately don't want it replaced as stated in the Return Policy. A buyer requesting a refund will always
receive a similar response from me, "I am certainly sorry you were unhappy with your purchase. Although an older model,
the item is NEW AS LISTED AND HAS BEEN FULLY TESTED PREVIOUS TO SHIPPING you can certainly return the item for exchange,
but the item must be returned in the same condition in which it was shipped to you AND WITH THE SAME SERIAL NUMBERS AS DETAILED ON THE SHIP, BOX LABELS AND UNIT SN# LABELS AS SHIPPED. After verifying your returned serial numbers,
(ie: Scanner serial number - Automatic Document Feeder serial number) we will exchange it as stated in our Return Policy. If no exchange available we will refund your purchase, or bid price."
99.9% of the time I will "never" hear another word from that buyer as soon as they become aware that we document, possess and will verify the serial numbers of those which were shipped. Sometimes I will get this reply, "What serial number do you expect returned?" Now, what does this tell you?
PLEASE,if you are NOT bidding on the listing item with the intention of purchasing, I ask that you not bid on our item. It is just so sad when we run across those very few unscrupulous buyer's who approach me, or any other seller with such total disregard that they will attempt to "defraud" a person who they don't even know. Someone who is only trying to make a small difference in their own life by selling on Ebay. When this occurs, it is a total affront to the human experience. This is an experience I "never" really even considered when we started to sell items on Ebay. Because of these experiences, we have had to change our total outlook on human nature as well as to take precautions with returns merely for the sake of "self protections." Then, to "top it off," when these few individuals are "caught" in their own game and confronted on the dishonesty, they have the total gall to become irrate and end the charade with negative feedback for us as well as posting total lies in "an attempt to save what little dignity they have left remaining." I understand that there can be errors, but simple errors can be resolved. Attempted fraud of some type has been the root of "every" negative feedback I have ever received. It is ironic that those who attempt fraud "always end up being accusors of the same." In the past, I have accepted returns. However, almost every one of these returns have been "obvious attempts to defraud a seller." We will "jump hoops" to have a satisfied buyer, but will no longer take this issue lightly. We are not a large company with the ability to "write off" a loss. Almost every return that we had previously received has been an attempt of a Buyer to return "used, old, preowned" of the same item, or "my item LESS SOME IMPORTANT OPERATIONAL PARTS." WE CANNOT SIMPLY ACCEPT THIS BEHAVIOR, OR DISHONESTY ANY LONGER. ANY ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD WILL BE REPORTED, NOT ONLY TO EBAY AND PAYPAL, BUT IS IMMEDIATELY REPORTED TO LOCAL POLICE AND A REPORT FILED. All of my items serial numbers are now photo documented. Any item we list as "new" does have the documentation necessary from the supplier verifying the same, condition in which it was sold to us. ANY return is opened in front of and witnesses by the Shipper Company representative delivering the returned item. The "shipper" is considered a "bona fide" witness and will verify what they have witnessed as legal documentation for prosecution. Attempted fraud not only results in perminant suspension from Ebay, but may have severe legal consequences as a Federal offense; "Mail Fraud," or "Internet Fraud."

Also, the Power Seller rating has changed with EBay and will also reference a seller with "high standards" regarding the items being sold as well as their dedication to their customers and their customers satisfaction. After the Power Seller distinction was clarified regarding quality, we accepted the distinction and the Icon. We are also now Top Rated Seller's per eBay standards; HAPPY EBAY TOOK MY SUGGESTION WITH THAT DISTINCTION? Any product offered by ESRUN on Ebay must be a "quality" product; most often they are products we use/have used and are familiar with. Most items we list are "new." Many of our items come from major retaile chains as "outstock", discontinued merchandise, liquidations. They may as well be display items, open box items, closeouts. Where applicable, each item is tested, cleaned and packed to a standard that we have become acustomed to. If a product is not working, or does not appear as of good quality we will not list the item for sale. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT MANY EBAY ITEMS ARE OLDER MODELS WHICH HAVE SOMETIMES BEEN IN STORAGE FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. This is not like buying directly "off the Retail shelf" at a major retail store; EVEN NEW, ITEMS MAY HAVE ACCUMULATED DUST NEEDING TO BE CLEANED. CUSTOMER "ISSUES" EXPLAINED:
12-5-07 Negative feedback, "nightmare" left for me after 2 1/2 months without any explanation. Scanner was a NIB-SEALED ITEM and I could not see any reasoning for any negative feedback. After reading his own response to my negative feedback to him, I realized what his feedback regarded. He chose UPS Expedited shipping. My mailman accidently picked up his box thinking it was to be shipped by USPS; the mailman returned it the next day. The scanner was shipped that day and the buyer received it in three days. He was so "upset" he contacted Ebay to complain to them when I immediately wrote him explaining what had occured. He paid for his item the 23rd, the day the postman took it. The postman returned it the next day on the 24th and it was still shipped that day. He received it on the 26th which is a total of three days from payment. Thus, his "nightmare" was possibly one day delayed shipping???? 10-8-07 Buyer purchased a Scanjet 4600 listed as NIB and CLEARLY DESCRIBED TWICE as an "open box" item in the description. Suddenly left me negative feedback without ever contacting me. I CALLED HIM questioning the feedback. Although I clearly state my return policy as DOA only and then replacement, I agreed to refund his purchase price if he returned. After two weeks I did not received the scanner and I initiated SQUARE TRADE MEDIATION. Finally, he asked that I refund $130 to his PayPal account, partially to compensate his "duty" fees paid as a Canadian buyer. I am sorry, but I will not participate in what I feel is "extortion." I feel his initial complaints were greatly exaggerated. Open box items sometimes can have and do have some minor imperfections simply because they are "open box". I examined this thoroughly before it was listed and would have listed it as "reduced" had it had any remarkable and GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!
