I was hooked on baseball after attending my first game in 1963. My dad was the biggest Detroit Tiger fan that I've ever known. Tigeritis a contagious disease that he passed on to me. Shortly before my father was going to be stationed overseas,( My father was stationed at Richards Gabour Air Force base in KC) we attended my first game at old Municipal Stadium in Kansas City,  We took our seats and  I sat there for 2 1/2 hours with my mouth open. I was in awe. Detroit won the game. The Tigers had a great line up. On that humid Kansas City night I was privileged to see Al Kaline, Rocky Colavito, Bill Freehan, Stormin' Norman Cash, Mickey Lolich, who was the starter, and Jim Bunning, who recorded the save.Last and not least, one of my favorite Tigers, Dick McAuliffe. It's nice that I can pinpoint exactly when my obsession began, eh?

We couldn't attend another Tiger game for 5 years. We moved back to the states in the winter of 1967. The Air Force stationed my father at Selfridge Air Force base...just outside of Detroit. In the magical year of 1968 we attended six games. I had the privilege to see many great ballplayers on opposing teams. Luis Tiant, Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva, Rod Carew, Sudden Sam McDowell (nicknames are cool when you're a kid!), Carl Yaztremski, Frank and Brooks Robinson, the Tiger killer Boog Powell, and possibly the homliest man to ever take any Major League field, Andy "Unabrow" Etchebarren, (might be in a dead heat with ex Tiger Don "Ears" Mossi)

My dad retired from the Air Force that year. We moved to the west side of the state and settled outside of Grand Rapids. We still managed to take in a couple of games a year between his long hours on the road with his civilian job and my school and sports.

The last game we attended before my father passed was at the old Tiger Stadium. Both my father and I were genetically enhanced New York Yankee haters. Unfortunately, Scott Sanderson completely shut down the Tigers and it was a very long drive home.

I still attend numerous games a year. Last year's pilgrimage took me and my youngest to South Bend to see our WM White Caps play. The following day we went to the Great American Ball Park and saw ex Tiger Mike Maroth of the Cardinals get hammered by the Reds, with Ken Griffey hitting number 586. Later that evening we travelled down to Louisville to watch the Bats play a night game. The fourth game in three days..with a trip to the Indy zoo squeezed in...we attended the Dayton vs. Ft. Wayne game. I was the beneficiary of a vicious line drive that parted what's left of my hair on the right side of my head. Attending games is like school, you have to pay attention!

I started buying and selling on Ebay after Christmas of 1998. My sports card shows became very few and far between. Ebay has afforded me the opportunity to expand my Tigers collection by selling other cards that I would have died with otherwise, without leaving home. No more greasy meals, show fees, hotel bills, gas expenses, from peddling my wares from Chicago to Traverse City to Detroit. Life is kinda good!

Alrighty then, Boring Part I is over. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse...it does.

I also refund the shipping and handling charge, and the like amount of postage on the return. Please package as securely as I did shipping the product to you! INSURANCE - I offer optional insurance to all my customers. I let the customer decide if they want to pay for additional services. The USPS has been fantastic, and I have only had one card damaged in all my years here. I package very securely. 

TRACKING -  I place Delivery Confirmation on all items. All insured parcels are also trackable now, including those under $50, if you wish to purchase insurance. International shipments over $50.00 are required to be sent Registered Mail, with the addressee signing for the parcel, sorry, no exceptions.

DETAILED STAR RATINGS - While I do not agree with the degree of importance management has placed on seller's visibility of their items being directly tied to our "star" ratings, I do understand the need for some sort of policing of their site to deter less than honest sellers. Management has inacted a policy wherein a 4.3 rating or less on any of the four criteria is cause for suspension of selling privileges. A grade of 4 on any of the criteria, accurate description, communication, shipping time, and shipping charges, is considered failing, and cause for a seller to be suspended by Ebay.
