Business Information

History/background
Platinum Powerseller and honest ethical Ebayer who likes reasonable people and believes in the Golden Rule and general common sense and reasonable business practices.

Payment policy
Paypal, Bidpay online, everywhere in the world. USA can use paper payments. Ask me any questions.

Shipping information
I ship as soon as possible, usually the same day or next day after payment unless the item is not readily available, it could take 3 days maximum for unusual items.

Return policy
I buy most of jewelry outright so do not like to offer cash refunds unless I make a mistake since I have to replenish inventory and have low store prices with thin margins. I have an unlimited exchange program but I do require items be returned within 7 days otherwise I don't know if you wore it and returned and I sell below retail. This means that as long as you notify me first that you are returning the item AND return the item within 7 days from receipt, you will receive a non-expiring store credit that will never expire. You can wait until you find that perfect item, apply the entire purchase price less all shipping and purchase the item or apply a partial credit if the item is more expensive. Please ask me any questions via email and I will answer them. I do make exceptions if you have a reasonable request at my option.
It is good to know who you are dealing with since different people respond to different things. Some people only respond to threats for example and I am not one of them. I have a few pet peeves that I would like to share with you. My biggest pet peeve are people that have certain assumptions that make no sense in the real world however they believe through their limited knowledge ( a little knowledge is dangerous) that they are correct. For example, recently there was a lady in Miami area that purchased a David Yurman Figaro heart bracelet and although these are all hallmarked at both clasp and on the back of the heart, she thought that the hallmark should be on the side of the actual chain since she had a David Yurman logo ring and the DY hallmark was on the side! Based on this, she determined that the bracelet was fake! All she would have had to do is check at any store that carries the line and see that none are hallmarked on the chain itself and additionally, not all DY rings have the DY hallmark on the side. It depends upon the style! To assume that this one ring is how each and every item will be hallmarked is plain stubbornness to put it kindly. In cases like these, I would require something in writing from an authorized distributor or at very least a phone number of the so called person that told her that to substantiate this before accepting a return for a refund as well as a timely return of the item. It is clearly written in my Square Trade Practices. This is an extreme example but there is a human tendency to remember extremes! Please note that I do not refund shipping unless the error is totally my fault. Secondly, I can't stand it when a buyer gives a unbelievable excuse to return items after a longer period of time or not complete a transaction. Whether they may have used the item for that special occasion (we all know at least one person like this unfortunately) or found something else cheaper or grew tired of it once they got it or got overextended and try to blame others for their belief that they ....like someone put a gun to their head and forced them to bid on an auction! I can usually tell when a story does not ring true. I have done this a long time and trust 99% of the people as much as my own family but I can tell if something is rotten in Denmark very easily most of the time partially attributable to my degree in Psychology and interest in motivational behavior (though I have worked in business brokering my whole life) This is one reason that I believe people need to teach their kids about personal responsibility and accountability so that their children do not make poor choices. When someone bids and does not pay or someone buys and does something shady to force a return would be equivalent to me asking for an item back because a designer just raised the prices and I could now get more for it! Or I could say return that to me, someone just offered me double! No way! Also, there are no implied warranties on my items however I will try to work with you and if I have another item like it, I will replace it unless it is clearly stated in the listing that there are no returns on this item because it is either consignment, used or pre-owned. This is an example of NO RISK NO REWARD and that is the beauty of EBAY and the stock market for that matter! If it is a store item or a new item and I do not have a replacement and something may have gone wrong right after the purchase like a broken clasp, I will work with you on the repairs if your request seems reasonable. However people do break things either because things just break or they are not careful or drop things on cement or their child or pet gets it and I have no way of knowing what is neglectful treatment of the item. I bought a new pair of Tiffany earrings and they clip broke off and rather than give me a new pair they repaired them and this happened right away at retail! Please understand that with these margins, it is difficult to know what happens to the jewelry when it leaves, someone could have stepped on it for all I know. It rarely happens but it does make me consider raising prices when it does to cover the expenses involved. However, I will do what I can if I believe the request is fair but remember, we are all human and we tend to be more lenient with people that we like or treat us respectfully and do not finger point unnecessarily. I also hope that you all realize that I am always working on a good faith basis. I work very hard to bring you fine authentic as described jewelry and ship it quickly and package all my items very well without items bouncing around loosely. I tape them and use bubble wrap (no peanuts) and have a hard box packaging. Please note that 99% of my vendors do not accept returns from me either if it makes you feel any better!

Another extreme anecdote: There was one customer who each time she bought something from me it broke somehow. Now the first and second time maybe were just chance. The items were stock items and there never had been an issue before but when the third item with delicate antique ceramic beads was dropped and broken, I had to draw the line and tell her that I could not be responsible for any damages any longer. I did return her funds however she is no longer a customer either because she was embarrassed or upset but sometimes there are people who are more destructive than others. Look at your own family for examples:)
NOTE: Although I try to keep some of auction items near me, many of my store items are off site at my secured location. it is only a few miles away but it may take me a few hours to get back to you on specifics of items in my inventory whose details are not on the listing or if you want further information or measurements. I am more than happy to comply and I will try to be really fast if it is an auction close to its end or particularly if you need the item for a holiday or special occasion! Once in awhile I do have to go somewhere but I usually carry my blackberry so i can respond within 2 hours latest generally speaking.
For anyone who took the time to read the above which of course optional, I do appreciate your taking the time to read the seller point of view so you can understand we all act based upon experience. I tend to be a bit more sensitive than I need to be.
Contact information

I have my blackberry with me at all times or am at my computer. My cell is my work phone 925-914-1470. I prefer being emailed at expertbenefits@gmail.com since either the blackberry or my computer is always linked to email. I may not have the cell on when I am working. I typically return emails almost instantaneously unless I am doing something else however within an hour in a 12 hour day time span you will hear from me. Bear in mind that I am Pacific Standard Time. I work weekends too 7 days. If I go on vacation, I will let you know in advance and have a vacation message in my store.
I am service oriented and really do my very best to accommodate you. I like to be treated respectfully and professionally and am friendly and approachable vis a vis transactions. Please do not leave negative feedback before contacting me with your concerns. If you are not nice to me, I may not be as accomodating so coming off like a hot head does not impress me at all and I tend to do the same and I don't like acting that way but I am a human being with human responses! I am a down to Earth person but I can duel with the best of them when necessary with all I have! I don't cross ethical lines and never sell anything fake! The great thing about being an Ebay seller is that there are no corporate politics or staff meetings or other BS. It is business in its purest form without creative accounting or other smoke and mirrors!

My listings Revising items
I revise my listings all the time, usually adding photos after it is listed because the hard part for me and the most important part for you is to see what is available. Without the listing LIVE, you would not know. People may view these revisions as suspicious but there is not. It has to do with efficiency, multitasking and generally comes about if someone asks a question or asks to see a photo, I try to clarify it and share this on the listing in case I get more of the item or I may have taken some shoddy photos but plan to replace them later. People don't know I have the items unless I list them so I try to list them and add to them in my store later. This has worked well for me and is not an indication of me changing the listing in any meaningful or doing anything deleterious. I just find this the most efficient way to handle my work load and give you the best selection possible. Always ask questions and I do appreciate it when you point out typos to me or other oddities in my listings! Thank you!
