I've been a crafter my whole life, my mother was an artist and had me drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil, as I sat on her lap.  I've tried most crafts, I was an accomplished seamstress for many years until a spinal cord injury ended that, too bad, I really enjoyed making clothes for my children and myself.  I started stamping when my daughter was pregnant, I would stamp cartoon characters on baby clothes and color it in with permanent markers.  That got me hooked on buying rubber stamps, and finally selling them, when I accumulated too many!  I'm always trying to find new stamps and supplies to sell in my store.  I try to be fair in pricing the merchandise and shipping, and I always combine shipping.

I loved making jewelry but I had a hard time finding nice beads, then I went to work for a wholesale craft supply company, I worked in customer service, which was great, I was the only one in the department that knew anything about crafts!  There I learned how to buy wholesale and how to start my own business, and how to find supplies.  They opened a door to a whole new world.  I made jewelry and had it in a few stores in the Chicago area.   Meanwhile I opened an ebay store, selling rubber stamps and art supplies, using my business name "Fabulous Designs"  http://stores.ebay.com/fabulousdesignsstamps   It was just a slight diversion, because I'm back to making jewelry and loving it.  I will continue to keep both stores, I still enjoy stamping and I'm not about to give up my stamps, especially my big collection of Italian stamps that took me years to find.

I love designing jewelry, it's very rewarding to make beautiful things, learn new techniques and find new beading supplies.  I take pride in my work and use all quality supplies, like sterling silver, vermeil (24K gold over sterling silver), Swarovski crystals and other wonderful beads.  I will soon go back to working with Fimo & Sculpy clay to make unusual beads like Millefiore style beads, millefiore in Italian means thousand flowers.
