Thanks for stopping in!
My name is Margaret and I am an eBay addict. Not that I've had to take out a second mortgage but collecting things on Princess Diana brings me great pleasure and I have had very good success on eBay as both a buyer and a seller.
In addition to collecting Diana, I also collect Anya Seton, and buy historical books, art, collectibles, and Hollywood and rock & roll memorabilia, particularly on Janis Joplin, the Velvet Underground, John Cale, and groupies.
Diana, Princess of Wales
The radiant and incomparable DIANA, Princess of Wales
, touched my life in a way few contemporary women have. She was so beautiful. She was genuinely charitable. She was so royal. When she died, I was bereft. I remember lighting a candle and burning it for her as I prayed and watched the news for days, stunned. Always fascinated by royalty in general and British royalty in particular, I started collecting books about her life; Thanks in no small part to eBay, I now have I have over 5 dozen in my bookshelves at present plus about 6 dozen periodicals.
After a bit, I felt a little silly about my devotion to her memory and kind of kept it to myself. After all, I am mostly Scot-Irish (but all Celt), and the English have done little for us all these years. Then my friend Patricia Kennealy Morrison also confessed her total admiration for Diana and I felt liberated. Yay!! Someone else felt like I did!! In fact, in her latest book The Deer's Cry, one of PKM's acknowledgments is to Diana. This is what she says:
All glory, love and honor to the highness that was, and is, and ever will be, Diana, Princess of Wales, whose royalty owed nothing to anyone but herself.
