WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
AN EYELET AND A GROMMET?
SHOWN BELOW : These Will All Fit Into A 1/4" Hole
The Difference Is The "Outside" Diameter or "Flange"
Eyelets and grommets are both measure the same way . They are measured by the inside diameter or the size of the hole after setting. Eyelets and Self Piercing Grommets have a smaller diameter "Face" or "FLANGE" then standard "sheet metal" grommets. Eyelets are more commonly sold without a washer but, washers are made and are available for eyelets and do help to assure that the eyelet is secure on the material . Self piercing grommets and Standard "sheet metal" grommets are always sold as two pieces; the top grommet/eyelet style piece and a washer which is placed on the bottom of the project to sandwich the material between. A standard "sheet metal" grommet has a larger "FACE" or "FLANGE", then both the self piercing grommets and eyelets as shown in the picture below.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
A STUD, A NAILHEAD & A SPOT?
| There is no difference between a stud, a nailhead or a spot. Although the terminology suggests that each of these may be a different type of item they are in fact all the same thing. The top of the nailhead can be flat, domed, shaped or have a texture or design on it. They do all have prongs, but these too can vary in lengths as well as the number of prongs can vary. Nailheads, studs & spots are available in 2, 4 & 5 pronged versions |

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PRE-SET
RHINESTONE AND A LOOSE STONE SET INTO A RIM SETTING? |
| A pre-set rhinestone consists of a crystal or acrylic stone which has already been afixed into the pronged rimsetting and is sold as one piece. |
| |
Loose stones are also produced in both acrylic and crystal. A well known brand of loose crystal rhinestones is Swarovski. These stones can be glued to the material or they can be used with a pronged rimsetting which is sold seperately. The loose stone and the rimsetting must be assembled before they are ready to set into the material.
Will the HomePro LR Tool set loose stones into
