Fairgill Auctions started as LoganBookEx in 2000.
I owned a trade and sell bookstore in Logan, Utah
and sold my extra copies on e-Bay.
Before long, about my sales were from on-line purchases.
Then I started buying books for customers on e-Bay and Half.
By then I was Hooked!
Addicted!
Obsessed!
Well, OK, I was hooked.
I wasn even on the internet much before that.
I started in St. Louis as a systems analyst
(way before the internet),
so I was extremely comfortable with computers
I was on a computer almost daily for over 25 years
before I discovered e-Bay.
And DSL connections!
In 2003, I sold the store
(its now called Loganbookexchange on e-Bay) and,
over the next year,
moved across country to Asheville, North Carolina.
Before we moved,
we had to sell my daughter beloved 1968 VW bus.
Online, of course.
The next two years were spent selling
a gentleman huge stamp collection
and my personal books
while I stayed home to care for an ill family member.
Now I sell just about anything and everything that I can get my hands on.
I often make my family nervous with
o we need that anymore?
questions.
So I started to sell for others, too.
Husband Kevin is a plant and book enthusiast.
In fact, our very first e-Bay purchase was a Ginger Plant.
Daughter Chris enjoys buying music and fabric online.
She is still searching for that perfect VW
to replace her old one.
Daughter Virginia lives out West and has her own e-Bay account.
I also love looking for books and
collect Tea Pots (our second e-Bay purchase).
When we moved, I culled my collection by about 75%.
Online, of course!
I am helped out by one very big-boned (don call her fat!) co-dependant female Siamese cat,
one abused (skinny for life from shaking all the time) rescue beagle, and
3 bearded dragons that like to try to trip me while I am carrying boxes out to the car.
I am very proud of my great feedback score and
work hard to make sure each customer is happy with their purchase
