Since my teens I have loved all things vintage. My closets were filled with vintage clothes, toys, dolls, paper items, and holiday decorations. Anything I could find that was old had to be mine.

I am a single mom of two beautiful daughters and when I suddenly became unemployed after 13 years in the screenprinting industry as a graphic artist, a friend introduced me to ebay. I could actually sell the things that had filled every nook and cranny of my home and make money. My own business, a dream come true! With such a mix of old items to sell, it was difficult to find a name for my store. That's when Vintage Mood Swings was born.

I have now been selling on ebay as "fairylily" (because of my love for faeries and all things magical) for almost 7 years and have seen many changes. The recent fee scructure changes on ebay have had the most effect. Now, I am realizing that I must change my business strategies also. I am starting to focus and build my niche in vintage holiday items and vintage paper items and will soon be adding some of my own vintage style creations into the mix.
