I became a member of eBay in September 2002, after a cousin
told me about it and that you can find whatever you're looking for on eBay.
For the first two years, I only bought. I sold my first item in 2004
and realized that eBay is a great way to clear out clutter in your home.
It's like an online garage sale, only you can sell things at your pace and not
have to bother with setting up and advertising a real garage sale. And
there is an unlimited market, with eBay's worldwide presence.
What I sell...
I mostly sell antiques and collectibles. I have sold
everything from old china and silverware to old toys to Christmas lights to car parts and electric fans. My favorite thing to
sell is Christmas lights. I sell the large, colored Christmas lights that
you might remember from childhood. You can still buy the traditional
lights in stores and in multicolored sets, but there is one color you can't find
in any store in America. That color is yellow, as in lemon yellow.
It is impossible to find yellow lights in stores, but I always say that a tree
without yellow lights is like a sandwich without bread. Or put another
way, putting up a tree without yellow lights is like trying to use a computer
without a mouse.

Some more information on Christmas
lights...
In addition to being used on trees, yellow
lights can also be used in window-candles. In candles, yellow lights
actually look like flames. By contrast, orange lights look like embers,
white lights look washed out, transparent lights are hard on the eyes (with the
glare of the filament) and clear lights look cold and bleak.
There are two types of the large,
traditional Christmas lights. The technical terms for them are C7 and C9
lights.

C7 lights usually burn at 5 watts and are
1.5 inches long (2 inches if you include the base). They are designed for
indoor use.

C9 lights usually burn at 7 watts and are
2.5 inches long (3 inches if you include the base). They are designed for
outdoor use. They are heavy-duty and weather-resistant.

In addition, these lights can be used for
far more than Christmas decorating. They can be used as Mardi Gras lights.
They can also be used as party lights or they can be used to decorate your
backyard, porch, deck or patio or your dock (if you live near water). They
can also be used as bar or restaurant decor. The only limits are your
imagination!
Payment, Shipping and
Return Policies:
Payment:
Payment for all items is due within seven
(7) days of purchase. I accept PayPal, money orders, cashier's checks and
personal checks. I ship items out after receiving payment. If you
pay with a personal check, I will have to wait for the check to clear before I
can ship out your purchases.
Shipping:
Buyer is responsible for shipping,
handling and insurance fees. Insurance is mandatory with every auction.
Shipping is usually USPS Priority Mail.
International shipments are USPS Parcel Post. Shipments for items over 65
pounds are UPS Ground. If you purchase multiple items, I will combine
shipping so you don't have to pay as much in shipping costs and with combined
shipping, I offer buyers the choice of Priority Mail or Parcel Post.
In addition, I take every possible
precaution to make sure that items arrive at their destination without being
damaged or broken. I often double-box items for extra protection.
This may mean higher postage, but you can rest assured that this buyer has done
everything possible to make sure that your purchases are safely packed.
Returns:
If you're not satisfied with your
purchase, you may return it for a full refund within 10 days of the end of the
auction. Buyer pays for the shipping and a refund is sent after the item
has been received.
