A 1940s sterling silver bridle rosette (sold)
|
Fenian Antiques is based in Canada and specializes in offering for sale by auction, older collectable items, usually modest in size, often unusual, and almost always interesting! My listings regularly include stamps, covers and postcards, with occasional forays into other collectibles categories such as badges, medals and paper ephemera.
I work hard to provide good customer service and to achieve a 5-star rating in the feedback process. Although for most folks, a 4-star rating is considered pretty good, eBay deems a star rating of "4" to be sub-standard, and sellers who fall to this level are penalized with higher fees and may lose other benefits. If you have any concerns regarding the description of an item you've purchased, how it was packaged or the amount you've paid for shipping, please contact me so I can address them. As noted below, I have no influence or control over shipping speed once your item is in the mail system.

A nice RMS Titanic postcard (sold)

My shipping charges are included in my listing description. If anything, I overpack to ensure items arrive in sound condition, using quality materials. You won't receive a postcard stuck between a couple of bits of cereal box then jammed in a cheap envelope. Regarding shipping charges, particularly on overseas shipments, at GBP 2.50 or $4.50, I charge less than my actual total cost of postage and GST (federal Canadian tax) - with no consideration to my costs of postcard sleeves, archival stiffeners and bubble mailers. Also, I'll ship any number of cards or covers for one shipping cost, provided the items are mailed in one package. For the benefit of folks living outside of Canada, I am not - repeat NOT - responsible for charges, fees, duties, taxes or other costs imposed by your post office or other government agency. Also, I mail items promptly when I have received payment, but.....I have absolutely no control over the speed or lack of speed with which you receive your package once it's in the mailstream. As I am a registered Canadian business, if you live in Canada, you will be charged the appropriate provincial and/or federal sales taxes on your purchase(s). For foreign buyers, I do not lie on customs declarations, as Canadian law requires that I declare package contents accurately. As most of what I ship is paper material, this can be sent as lettermail, which does not require a customs declaration. As with all sellers' listings, please read lot descriptions carefully. I appreciate receiving information which helps me correct errors and improve my descriptions. Queries on specific items are best asked via ASQ, as emails can sometimes get lost in the Bermuda Triangle of my spam filters. If any of these terms are not in keeping with your personal philosophies, please ask before placing bids on my listings. Thank you !!
