I'm from Java, from a family of merchants. I love the beauty and extraordinay attention to detail that the Indonesian artisans show in their work; not all, and you have to be picky in what you buy over there, but I find that when I offer something well made on eBay, my customers really enjoy it. My husband and I are performing artists as well, both involved in Indonesian gamelan and dance in Minnesota. A lot of my sellables reflect that interest, from shadow puppets to gamelan CD's, batik sarongs ("kain"), and masks. Offering these sorts of things supports the Indonesian artists and keeps us connected back home.
   Oh, by the way, my name "Ferry" comes from the boat that I was born on, crossing over the Bali strait between Java and Bali. Thanks for visiting my page!
