BRUCES is now in it's sixth year as a real store. We began in 2001 as a Wisner and Bergger dealer, and added the other brands in 2003.  We have become one of the primary sources for the best large format equipment worldwide. Our credo is this: 1)  Bruce will not sell anything which is not good enough for him to use himself. This does eliminate some very popular low priced brands. But we will stick to it in the belief that it makes no sense to sell or buy junk--we both lose out in the end that way. There are a few popular brands of cameras and lenses which we will not handle because of negative personal experiences, or negative feedback from the photographers.  If we do not sell something there is usually a good reason.  2)   We will work very hard to get you the lowest possible prices on new equipment in the USA. 3)  We believe in the TRUTH. We will not over rate equipment or lie to you. We do not follow the common camera store trick of listing old prices to get you to call us. We do not lie  to customs. Please do not ask us to do it.   

We are an authorized dealer for Ebony (authorized east coast US importer), Linhof--with 5 year US guarantee, Lotus (authorized US-Canadian importer), Osaka, Walker, Schneider, Rodenstock, Ries, AWB Brubaker filmholders, Fidelity. Ries, Rodenstock and Schneider are now special order items.  Office hours are weekdays from 1PM to 4 PM, whenever possible. You may normally reach us during those hours at 212 807 1403. We  accept Paypal, though we no longer take Visa, and Mastercard because of out of control fees from the banks, but will give a 3% discount for a bank cashier's check or USPS money order, on purchases of $100. and up.  BRUCE'S is primarily a telephone and internet store, but we do have a small showroom in the New York City photo district. Orders are rarely shipped later than the next day. We may honestly say that we have never had a customer who was dissatisfied with our services, either on Ebay or off. For those of you interested in personal information, Bruce is a retired photographer, a black and white film specialist. He is also a painter, sculptor, and draughtsman.
