Fine-Thangz is made up of two sisters. Sharon and Linda. We both love to shop, but we can't afford the expensive stuff we tend to gravitate toward. We're not rich, but we do so love the nice things that people with money take for granted. So we shop high and low for fine things that won't break our budget.

Linda is the store shopper. Get out of her way when she becomes a sista on a mission! And she knows darn well she can't afford Macy's. Sharon (that's me) is the internet shopper. I'm looking for something unusual. My house is full of stuff that no one else has or can figure out where I got it from. All of my friends shop at the same places and it shows in their decor. I try to avoid that by looking elsewhere. One of my favorite places to shop is Uncommon Goods. Great website!

When we find an item that's not too expensive, high end and elegant, we buy it and we buy extra to sell to others that like fine thangz. So just about everything we sell, we also have in our own homes. We also love to entertain! Can you tell? We don't sell many cheap goods. Mostly because you can get that kind of stuff anywhere.  Designer Pillow Collections

These collections came about because we were working to decorate a client's livingroom and bedroom. She asked for colorful leather pillows and we weren't able to find any. Not even on Ebay. All we saw were shades of brown and black leather. Some red. Suede. Real suede pillows were almost non-existant. There certainly wasn't anything with the bang our client was looking for. So we went to our seamstress with a few designs in mind and asked her if could she make them. Surprisingly, the different styles and color palattes for leather were astounding. We suddenly didn't know where to start. Silvers, golds, metallics, pearls, destressed, imprints, patents.... the possibilities were endless. The first thing we found out is good leather is very expensive and very hard to work with. (Ralph Lauren has a set for $1200!!!! Isn't that crazy?) But our seamstress rose to the occassion and managed to create looks based on our designs that even our client couldn't find fault with. Since then we've been making and selling leather pillow covers to other clients. We finally decided to list some on ebay, just a few to start, but more will be coming. Stayed tuned.

Metallic Leather Cube Ottomans

Here's yet another item we had to make ourselves as we couldn't find anyone who made them the way we wanted at the right price. We were looking for genuine leather. We wanted a contemporary cube look without fancy hardware or embellishment. The leather had to be a flashy metallic, something that would stand out! Standard stuff was everywhere...blacks, browns, some whites and reds where easy to find. But silvers, golds, bronzes, if we did find them, they cost hundreds. Typical as metallic leathers are very expensive. These are the reasons we decided to make them ourselves. Were very excited about this new project. If you're interest, just stay tuned!!!! :-)

Customer Service Policy

It's worth mentioning that we do not give feedback for an item once it has been shipped. Service should end with a pleased customer, not shipped package. We personally feel that is not when our job as sellers ends. We make every effort to ensure that our customers have a pleasant and problem free shopping experience with us. If there is a problem we want to know about it. We would like the opportunity to correct any problems that may occur on our end. Only once the transaction is completed, once a customer has expressed satisfaction (hopefully in the form of great feedback), do we consider the transaction has ended and we have yet another pleased customer....only then do we leave feedback.  

Return Policy

We realize that we deal in a lot of glass and breakable items. If something should happen and a customer does not recieve an item intact, if insured, we will replace that item, no questions asked. If a one-of-a-kind item is lost, we will refund the customer's money immediately. We will file the claim and handle the shipper. Unfortunately, we're not able to give refunds for customers that suffer from "buyer's remorse".

Non-Paying Bidders aka Deadbeats

When we first started selling on Ebay we got three deadbeats in a row. Needless to say, that can be devastating to one's confidence, not to mention the cost involved. We have adopted a policy of "zero tolerance". We understand that sometimes things happen, but without communication we can only assume someone who doesn't pay....well....doesn't pay. If one bids, and wins, then they should pay. We expect retalitory bad feedback because of this "zero tolerance" policy. Be assured, we will file NPB with Ebay and leave negative feedback for all deadbeats.

Shipping Consolidation Policy

We will gladly consolidate shipping for most items. The items that give us pause, for the obvious reason, is our glassware. We are not always able to consolidate shipping even thought we will ship in the same box all at one time. We have yet to find a way to avoid breakage. Once it's out of our hands, we have no control over how the shipper handles it. For that reason, delicate items require careful time-consuming packing and lots more packing material. We will make every effort to consolidate when able and we do refund the excess when warranted. We reserve the right to pick and choose which items we can combine shipping for. Please don't assume, contact us first and we will tell you before you bid.
