Back to previous page  The History Of The Firefly Collection I started collecting vintage and antique clothing in 1973. I sold some items but usually put the special items away because I couldn't part with them. I did this for 30 years and realized that I can't keep it forever. I bought a few large lots of new old clothing in the 1980's and kept most of it including a large lot of old fabric and buttons. In 1982 I bought a huge lot, about 10,000 lbs, of old french victorian and misc lace and clothing mostly from the 20's through the 40's and never had time to open the bales till now. You can see a couple of these items on the store and hopefully more in the near future.  I am doing this myself so it will take years to place even a portion of the items on my store. Every time I open a box I am surprised at what I squirreled away so many years ago. I will update this story which is a long one later but for now please be patient and I will try to work as fast as I can.
