In college, many moons ago, I started my creative journey as a Theatre Major in Technical Theatre. From there I made a shift towards graphic design. I attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. I free lanced graphic design for some 20 years. When I and my husband moved to Portland, Oregon from Boulder, Colorado I became interested in bead work starting with bead weaving. I had some success selling my work at the Portland Bead Society Bead Bazaar. From bead weaving I moved on to lampwork taking a beginning beadmaking class about 4 years ago. The rest is history - hopefully with a happy ending. I still sell at the Bead Bazaar as well as ebay and some other local venues. I love lampwork , since it requires steady concentration and the constant search for new ideas in glass. It's hard to let your worries engulf you when you are concentrating on creativity in the flame.

Recently someone has hacked into my site and took it over twice. I never thought to look at this page. I have culled all the profanity that was thrown into my description and edited. I can't believe someone would go to these lengths. If anyone has any information about this please contact me at JudyRichards@hotmail.com. To the offending party, I have no idea what you are doing. I am a decent, God-fearing individual who is aghast at these tactics. I do not understand.
