Shipping & Handling, Item Location, Customs, Feedback, Auction Terms and NPB
Shipping charges are intended not only to cover the actual cost of the shipping, but also the handling of the auction and the fees that go along with shipping. These associated expenses include, but are not limited to; packaging supplies, labor, warehousing, trucking and transport, taxes, and other expenses associated with operating my business. Many times the packaging, transporting, and importing the merchandise, cost as much or more than the actual merchandise. Typically I do not offer insurance on my items. But all shipments from Asia are sent by registered mail which is very safe. While I'm not responsible for lost or damage items in transit, I will make every effort to correct the situation.
All shipments from Thailand are packaged by me and shipped by registered airmail for the safety of the buyers. Registered airmail is one of the safest ways to ship items around the world. I always try to ship every day of the week, but please allow time for orders to be processed. Fast delivery of the purchases is very important to me. Depending upon how items are shipped the worldwide transit times from Thailand range from 5 days to 21 days on average.
Customs and import duties are things I cannot control, all buyers outside of the United States will be responsible for any duties, fees or charges imposed upon the shipments. Items shipped to address within the United States, or APO/FPO are duty and fee free. I will pay any and all fees on U.S. addressed orders. Also please note in rare cases shipments can be delayed for several days to many weeks by Customs. Also please note in rare cases shipments can be delayed for several days to many weeks by Customs. My responsibility as a seller is to package the item in a secure manor and deliver to the post office within a reasonable time frame. I am not and will not accept responsibility for lost or delayed shipments, fees, the normal problems that can happen during transit. While these are areas that I can’t control but I’m always happy to assist the customer in any way I can.
Many of the items I offer here on eBay are handmade or custom made for me. This allows me to offer great deals on items rarely seen on eBay. Please note these items are not mass produce by machines. The nature of handmade custom items is that they may be a slight bit different from each other. The pictures in the auctions are to best represent the items offered and I always use only my own photos. For example when we list rosewood chopsticks as 9 ½" in length, some maybe 9 9/16" or 9 7/16", the cases may have a different pattern from what is shown etc. Please don't think that I'm trying to deceive you with these differences. These small differences are part of the charm of a handmade custom item and what makes them unique.
After winning the auction or placing a bid with buy it now on eBay or in Fishinglines Store the buyer will receive a email invoice through eBay. The email addresses used will be the ones on file with eBay. If you do not receive these notices within 24 please email me directly. If you are paying by check or money order, the funds must be in US dollars and drawn on an US Bank. For shipments outside of the United States please understand that your own country may impose importation taxes and/or duties. Also note that these agencies have been known to hold items for several weeks, and these actions are not within my control.
Because I believe no transaction is complete until the client has the product and has left their final comments I will leave my feedback within 24 hours of the buyer doing the same. Non Paying Bidders cost us all in the form of higher prices and cost, the terms are clearly listed in all our auctions, your bid is a contract to purchase the item. Please do not bid if you have questions or do not plan on following the terms of the auction. About negative feedback, I do not believe in the selling or trading of feedback. If you are a nonpaying bidder or you don’t complete the terms of the auction I will report to eBay. If you don’t pay I will not ship the item (s). Too many sellers agree to the unreasonable demands made but the few eBay members who are out to use the system for their own gains. These polices have resulted in several unreasonable or NPB leaving negative feedback, if you have any questions about a transaction or a comment filed I will be happy to answer them.
I follow eBay policy for non paying bidders and issue non paying bidder warnings when available after the close of the auction and request final value credit if not paid. If you cannot agree to these terms, no hard feelings but please do not bid or purchase.
