We are not just purveyors of canine collectibles; we are "dog people". 25 years ago we left the crowded morass of South Florida and moved to some acreage in the country.

We bought a cocker spaniel puppy who was definately not show quality but we didn't realize it. Knowing nothing about breeding, we bred an ASCOB bitch to a Parti-colored dog. The puppy we kept actually had some hair so we took her to be groomed. Even though her face looked more like a Collie's, when the groomer said "show quality" we were thrilled.
We found our way to a dog show and discovered what show quality Cocker Spaniels are supposed to look like. "

Empty nest sydrome became a thing of the past.

We bought a black dog and a black bitch. After they became champions, they became parents. Five out of 7 of our first litter also became champions. We were hooked.

We moved farther North, built a kennel and promised ourselves that no little furry feet would trasverse our new carpeting in our new house. Of course, they soon trickled in.

Helping dozens of puppies into the world was an awesome experience. No kennel for these precious babies. Their whelping box was in our walk-in closet and we moved out the kitchen table for the puppy play-pen.

We had every variety AKC allowed. Of course not every puppy was show-quality and we avidly checked out prospective homes. Little ruffians went home without a puppy.

Travelling the country, we entered every show we could. Before this 'career' had to end, we had alot of champions and alot of friends.

Along the way we discovered Clumber Spaniels and added a new dimension to our family. We were active in Cocker clubs, all-breed clubs, and the National Spaniel club.

All the cockers are gone now - only an aging Clumber is left to enrich our lives. The memories of all 'our babies' will always be with us.
