Lion in Leaves
|
| I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2005 with a small sampling of studio art, but a great desire to grow and improve. In 2007, I began my journey at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). I am currently a third year student at PAFA studying sculpture, painting, and drawing. I have many loves when it comes to art however, I am drawn to classical, figurative imagery with a twist of fantasy. |

| I started Painting in 2007 and at first, painting with a brush was a great struggle for me. One of my teachers suggested that I paint a picture using only a palette knife. I quickly learned that I could do with a palette knife what I was unable to do with a brush. Now when I paint, I use a combination of brushes and palette knives to create the movement and strokes that I desire. The palette knife gives the painting a thick, textured skin and allows for a clean stroke of color, which I love. |
