Hi, I'm Joel, The Bench Mench! When I retired from the areospace industry I started looking for something to keep me busy.

Well, I was an engineer and a markenting person so I put those tools together and came up with -- yup -- benches!

I designed them, built them, and sold them on eBay and had a lot of fun doing it.

Then, my brother in law, Bill, re-did his kitchen and gave me his butcher block counter top. I cut it into cutting boards and listed the sections on ebay and "BAM" they sold overnight. "Hmmmm" I thought, this is cool.

So I started making my own cutting boards and the rest is history, as they say.

I made them for a long time and sold them here on eBay.

The bad news is that I've had to curtail making my boards because of a bad case of athsma. My doc just wouldn't let me continue. I really miss doing them!  I hope to get back to cutting boards, but time will tell.

Meanwhile, I've been putting all my executive and head hunting experience to good use and I've been writting resumes for prople here on eBay.

I also sell "collectables"  --- I sell what I like but mostly I like vintage photos and photo albums.

All this keeps me busy and out of the bars and away from wild women -- which all keeps my wife Leah very happy.
