Hello, my name is Victoria Wilson. I am a North Carolina artist. I was born and raised in Charlotte and received my BFA from Western Carolina, which is located in the mountains of North Carolina. I work in oils, tempera, pastels and watercolor. Most of my artwork would be described as "Contemporary", but I have a strong interest in folk art and illustration.

Folk Art has always inspired me so I decided to start a website dedicated to encourage the appreciation of this art form. I am the owner and administrator of "www.Folkartforthefunofit.com". This site is designed to be a place where you can learn about folk art and it's history. For me, Folk Art encompasses such a broad range of areas. It has a creative, hand-made quality that you just don't find in mass produced items. Folk art captures the history and beliefs of the artists who create it. Along with creating art and maintaining a website I also work in film. I write and direct short films. My family and I enjoy the time this allows us to spend together. We all get involved and have a lot of fun bringing these stories to life! I enjoy designing and painting all the props and sets for our films.
