For Your Angel Designs is owned by Brenda Nielson and Brandilyn Bigelow (mother and daughter).
I, Brenda have been sewing all my life. I have fond memories of sitting in my family den sewing beads,
trims, and lace on the wedding dresses, outfits and Mardi Gras ball gowns that my mother made.
But I didn't go that route for a career. I received a degree in Education with a minor in Art.
While attending college, I did design jeans for Liberty Scene Jeans (an old 70 company). Boy, that dates me.
I was involved in Early Childhood Education for 38 years during which time I sewed for myself
and my one daughter, Brandilyn.
Also, during my daughter dancing career
(22 years of classes, 5 years teaching, and 10 years dancing with companies like Mobile Ballet,
Ballet West, & Rocky Mountain Ballet), I have made lots and lots of costumes for recitals and performances.
Four years ago, my daughter, Brandi and I decided that we would like to design children clothes.
We had what we thought were good ideas and the desire to make it happen.
We'd like to thank Children Cottage in Mobile, AL for giving us the chance to do just that.
They put our designs in their store and on their website. So, for the past four years, we have
been producing our own line and helping manufacture alot of their store brand of custom made clothing,
Carolyn Bradlee.
Now, I have 5 beautiful grandchildren ...I hope I have many more to follow.....
We design clothing for them and use them as our models. I have other family members that help in various ways.
So, we are truly a family company.
Why the name "For Your Angel&? Because we believe even if the halo is hanging vicariously from the little horns on their head,
ALL CHILDREN ARE PRECIOUS, BEAUTIFUL ANGELS..
Our goal for our company is to provide affordable custom made clothing and gift items.
