I live and paint in a quiet, rural setting in the midwest. My contemporary paintings of the American heartland are inspired by the beauty and vastness of our country. I love painting historical Americana, especially simple views of old farmsteads, houses, cabins, hazy days & big skies. I have been working on a series of paintings that show my impression of these calm and peaceful landscapes. I also paint commissioned pieces upon request. I studied art and received a BFA in Fine Art (with an emphasis in painting and illustration) from Northern Illinois University. My original landscape paintings are in private collections throughout the U.S.A. as well as in Canada, France, Iceland, Belgium, England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Japan and Australia.
