Southern Comforts
A Typical Treasure

Hi, ya'll.  That's just a nod at my roots.   I was born in New Orleans, but was raised in the midwest where I still reside.  I guess you can take the girl out of the south, but you can't take the south out of the girl. I'm still a Southern girl at Heart!      I love all things homey.  Old quilts, shabby fabrics and accessories, flouncy bedskirts, fresh flowers from my own garden, stained glass windows and lamps, lacey curtains, wood floors, old furniture, and candles everywhere.

 

One of my favorite past times is sewing so I use it as an excuse to collect fabric, lace, buttons, and nifty ideas to use all these things with.    I put my heart into everything I make and hope that shows.  I would love to keep everything I create, but  have room for only so much ( according to my dear husband). So I've found a way to satisfy my creative side and share my passion with others. I hope you enjoy  them as much as I do !
