Personal
Collecting ancient coins has been my hobby for over two decades. My primary interests are the denarii of the Roman Republic and the coinage of Sicily & Carthage. On a personal basis, I am an environmental consultant; a winemaker; a golfer; a backpacker; a cross country skier; and an ordained minister.

Roman Republic Stuff
For those interested in the Roman Republic time period, I highly recommend the novels in the “The Masters of Rome Series” by Colleen McCullough. These present a graphic historical representation of the Republic from the time of Marius in 110 BC, to Sulla, to Julius Caesar, to the end of the Republic. These novels provide excellent historical & cultural detail, and dig into the political complexities of the time. They are meticulously researched and provide excellent characterizations. The seven novels are:
· The First Man in Rome
· The Grass Crown
· Fortune's Favourites
· Caesar's Women
· Caesar
· The October Horse
· Antony & Cleopatra
