Go ahead scammer... Make my day!!
After getting ripped off to the tune of several thousand dollars back in the late 90's on ebay, I've made it my personal mission to not only continue to use ebay's services, but help others know what to look for so they don't get taken like I did.

The most recent trend is for scammers to break into user's accounts and use their good feedback as a screen to their fraudulent activities.

Things to look for:

* Big dollar items from a user who rarely sells such items.

* Unusually low starting bids with no reserves on expensive items that are 'New in the box'

* No Paypal or other reputable payment services (Cash, Money Order or obscure Escrow Service only)

* Offers to pay escrow fees and/or pays for shipping

* Recent userid change

* Poor grammar in email correspondence or listing descriptions (many of these scammers use foreign resources who have limited mastery of English)

REMEMBER: If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!!!

Just because you see me bid on something, doesn't mean it's a fraud!!!!
I'm an active ebay buyer and seller. Email me at sitkom@usa.net if you have a question or wonder if what I'm bidding on is a fraud. I like electronic gizmos, home theater stuff, BMW and Mercedes parts, so if you're wondering, just ask. More often than not, if you see me bidding on an item that looks fishy... it may be. If it doesn't look fishy, I probably just want to buy it. If I'm selling, you can bet your *ss it's the real deal.
