The carpenter that collects Barbie


The view from my desk

  I am a Carpenter, my wife and I own a small construction company that specializes in remodeling older home's in south-east Michigan.  Two of my four son's work for us.  We do everything from major remodeling, to small repairs.

  My hobby is collecting Barbie dolls made from 1959-present.  I currently own around six hunred dolls.  All of them are NRFB or "never removed from box".  Most of my dolls have a cultural theme.  Like Barbie as a U.S. Marine or Barbie as a NASCAR driver.  My other hobby is custom wood working.  Which is good because it take's alot of shelve's to hold all those dolls.  I also sell some of my custom made doll shelves here on Ebay.

  Seven years ago my wife and I bought a large old house. added an addition to it doubling it's size , so there are plenty of opportunity’s for wood working project's and place's to put Barbie's.
