Socorro Auction Service and Antiques


It all began when a newspaper ad enticed us to attend an antique auction in Central Florida many years ago.  Now, 33 years later we are still hooked more than ever.  Of course, we started out buying the items we wanted for our various collections.  Then we let ourselves get caught up buying those ever-present "bargains" you just can't let get away.  That led to boxes and boxes of stored goodies.  Somehow you just find a place for all those acquired bargains that you know someday will be even more valuable!! (You know what we mean-you may be just like us?)  We also branched out into buying estates and what we call "estate remainders", which is whatever remains of an estate after the heirs/relatives take their part and they have sold what they think is the best and most valuable part and have a lot of "stuff" left that no one seems to want.  And, we bought un-paid freight, un-paid storage, and un-claimed lots at auctions.  Suddenly, we had storage areas FULL of GOODIES.

Anyway, after attending hundreds of auctions all over the place, one day we said to ourselves- You know, we have seen a lot of good auctioneers/auctions and a lot that could have done much better.  Why don't we become an auctioneer/auction business?  So, in October 2001, we went back to school and became an auctioneer/auction business and are licensed in the State of Florida.  Still, we kept on buying; but, now we also started selling at our auction building.  Then we decided to offer items on eBay and try that auction format.  Of course, we still love our "live" auctions; but, we are looking forward to expanding our offering to a larger crowd of auction-bugs that might never have found us.  We believe in "NO RESERVE AUCTIONS"; and, low opening bids so everyone has an opportunity to catch a bargain.  We hope you have a great experience with our auctions and wish you good luck bidding!!!
