Jeremy Reidy has been teaching youth baseball players how to improve
their pitching mechanics for more than ten years. Aiming to bring
power mechanics to the forefront of baseball like never before, Reidy
is widely known for his first instructional DVD, The Politics of
Pitching. In less than three years, The Politics of Pitching and
Volume II, Stronger Than Before, have gone global selling over 1,000
copies in 11 countries.
While attending Florida Tech in Melbourne,
Florida, Reidy was named to the All Sunshine State Conference team his
sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Also while attending Tech,
Reidy was named to the NCAA All South Region team his last three
seasons. Upon completion of his junior year, Reidy was named
Scholar Athlete of the Sunshine State Conference. Just before the
beginning of his senior year, coming off an impressive junior year, the
AP named Reidy a Preseason All-American. During the summer
months, Reidy taught Little League baseball players from around the
world as he instructed at the Little League Baseball Headquarters, in
Williamsport, PA, the Home of Little League Baseball. Throughout
his tenure at Florida Tech, he donated his time to the advancement of
baseball by offering local little leaguers free pitching lessons.
Reidy graduated with honors from the Florida
Institute of Technology in 2000, with a degree in Business
Administration. While attending Florida Tech, Jeremy concentrated
on Organizational Theory and Behavior and Management Studies.
In 2001, Reidy received his Certified Personal
Trainer's certification. Shortly after that, Reidy completed
another certification program, and became a Sport Yoga Instructor.
In the fall of 2004, Jeremy enrolled in the
Southwest Acupuncture College, located in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. Southwest Acupuncture College (SWAC) is one of the most
recognized Traditional Chinese Medicine schools in the United
States.
Reidy's academic curriculum at SWAC consisted
of 3.045 hours of training in the five branches of classical Oriental
medicine: acupuncture, herbal medicine, physical therapy, nutrition,
and exercise/breathing therapy. The greatest number of those
hours were devoted to the study and practice of acupuncture, herbal
medicine and Tui Na, with the balance of hours completing graduate
level courses in Oriental medicine and Western science.
While completing the last two years of his
education at SWAC, Jeremy completed the clinical portion of his
education. For the last two years of his degree program, Jeremy
spent his time providing acupuncture and herbal treatments in the
college's low-cost public clinic. He has also completed two
rotations at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital as well as completing
two rotations in an OB/GYNN clinic. Jeremy has also had clinics
in Japanese Acupuncture and treated patients in an HIV/AIDs support
clinic.
Reidy is now a board certified Oriental
Medicine Doctor, and now resides in sleepy fishing town of Sebastian,
Florida. Dr. Reidy is curently practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine
at the Alternative Medicine Family Care Center in Vero Beach, Florida.
