About
the Artist
Laura Anderton has studied art at the
University of Wisconsin in Madison, the School of Visual Arts in New York and Warwick University in England. Her art has
been displayed in numerous galleries, as well as being published
in books and magazines. She returned from studying in England with a husband
and cat, and has gone back to university to finish her art degree. She is currently in her final year at the UW where she is majoring in Graphic Design, which she hopes to pursue as a career.

Laura's Studio
Although Laura draws in a wide variety of styles and media (including her hugely popular classical nudes in pastels) her first love has always been the Anime/Manga style. She loves the Japanese culture and has visited the country twice, as well as studying the Japanese language for two years at the UW.
Laura was recently a Staff Artist at the Anime Central 2006 Convention in Chicago (attended by some 12,000 people) where she illustrated several pages in the program book and designed the mascots for the Children's Programming panels. She also presented a panel to the children on how to draw in the Manga style.
