Our Company

We started selling toys on eBay in 2004. Initially, Jefferson Beck, our friends Manager, sold toys both as a hobby, and as a secondary income. Surprised by his early results, the business was expanded to include an eBay Store. In 2007, while Mr. Beck was going to school, the store was closed, as classwork took priority. Today, friendlyplush is starting strong again. We'll continue to sell on eBay. However, we also sell plush friends on our website. We are looking forward to an exciting year. We hope you'll join us as we continue to grow and expand our product line!

I've been working in retail since 1994. From being a sales associate, to a manager, to the owner of two businesses. In 1997, I opened a mail-order office supply company. This was my first business, and was a quite a learning experience. In 1999, I opened a bricks and mortar video game store, selling both new and used video games and accessories, specializing in classic video games such as Atari and Colecovision. I was surprised at the store's popularity. We were profitable within a few months. In 2004, I started friendlyplush. In 2006, I was honored to work with my father as we began planning a family retail company. I was pleasantly surprised when my father suggested that we bring the friendlyplush brand into our business plan. In 2008, we brought our plans to a reality, with the creation of Beck Family Retailers. We pride ourselves on great service, and great products.
I enjoy managing friendlyplush, as it gives me a chance to work with our great friends (our customers), while still giving me time to focus on school (I am currently completing a Business Marketing Degree). I'm looking forward to working with my father in the years to come as we build our family business.

Information regarding upcoming Postal Rate Changes
We feel that it is important to keep our Great Friends (customers) updated on Legislative and Regulatory issues that may directly effect their online buying experience. We'd like to let everyone know that, effective 18 January, 2009, the United States Postal Service will be increasing their rates charged on packages shipped both within the United States and Abroad.
