Hello, and thank you for visiting my ME page.
My name is Debra (Bartshe) Jennings.
I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I paint with oils mostly but have also painted with Acrylic, watercolor and soft pastel.
Painting is my first passion, but then along came glass. The first time I tried making glass beads, I was hooked!
As an artist who did mostly oil and acrylic paintings, I was now enjoying this new medium of painting and sculpting with molten glass. It has quicky become another first passion.
ABOUT THE BEADS
I am 100% self-taught. I make my beads out of Moretti, Lauscha and Vetrofond glass.
I would say that about 85% of my beads are made using fine silver leaf/foil. I love the surprises I can get when using silver. I like organics, so a lot of my beads are organic in style.
I have come a long way since making my first beads and hope to enjoy lampworking for many years to come.
I would like to thank all of my customers, both past and future. Without you, I would not be able to continue designing, creating, experimenting and enjoying these wonderful art forms.
Thank you all,
Debra
An Update! I have recently become addicted to painting Original Art Cards (ACEO's)
What is an ACEO? Well, it's like a miniature work of art that is 2 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches. The same size as a baseball trading card and they fit in the plastic protective sleeves made for collector sports cards. They have recently become one the hottest collectibles on eBay and are a lot of fun to paint and collect, and I do both. Check out the cards by doing a search on eBay for ACEO.
Here are a few of my most recently completed collector cards, some of which I will be listing soon.
