I'm Mike from Carmarthenshire and like a huge
amount of other people, I get great enjoyment from buying and selling on
EBay. My local postoffice is 7 miles away and bank is 21 miles, so cheques sent,
can't always be banked the same day and Items sent may be sent the following
day.
Here’s a few principles I try to adhere to when I’m
selling
ITEM
DESCRIPTIONS
On Items I'm selling I try very hard to give full
and honest descriptions so that when the item drops through the door or even on
a pallet, the winning bidder is happy with it. It’s always disappointing
when the item you have won is not as you’d quite expected. So if you have
any questions drop me a line, I usually get back to you more or less straight
away.
POSTAGE
I try to be as fair as possible on the postage rate
plus a little extra for the cost of packaging. I obviously charge less for
multiple purchases and I always get a proof of delivery.
PACKAGING
I'm in a wheelchair and I rely on my wife and
daughters to carry out my packaging for me, I make sure that every item is
packed as best as we possibly can,
DISPATCH
I try my best to make sure items won are
dispatched the next working day or two when paid via Paypal but larger
items may take a little more time if palletized. This doesn't always work
for any number of reasons, but I usually drop the buyer an e-mail to advise when
the item has been sent and what class i.e. 1st 2nd, recorded or transport
company, so that you know when to expect it through your letterbox, or on your
drive. Cheques are more than welcome but please allow time for them to
clear.
FEEDBACK
I usually don't leave feedback until the buyer has
left feedback for me. This is because I want to make sure that the buyer
is happy with the purchase and not get embroiled in a negative feedback slanging
match where it is unnecessary. If everyone tries to be fair, honest and
reasonable negative feedback should not be a problem. So if you aren’t
happy please please contact me so we can sort things out.
