I'm a 43 year old, eclectic, hippie, solitaire, pagan type person. Blue jeans & sandals are me, (barefooted prefered ... slippers if I must). Incense & candles are abundant in my home.
I love to search thru garage sales and thrift stores to find wonderful like-new items to present for sale on Ebay. Ahhh Ebay.....my new hobby. I try to list items at a reasonable price, taking into consideration what I would be willing to pay for an item.
Jan. 2008 WooHoo ..... My first negative. Know what? I wear it proudly. That little red slash reminds me that I don't & won't ever bow to threats of any kind from another person. Sadly it was just over an issue of $3.40, but I was NOT going to pay someone for something they didn't pay for in the first place. "Customer Service" does not mean paying for your reputation. Plain & simple. I could have just gave in and "payed" to keep my perfect 100% score, but know what? Principals & honesty mean more to me than that 100% score. I am a firm believer that my feedback speaks for itself, and anyone reading the one comment as opposed to the other 700 plus will know I am a very honest Ebayer. So, cheers ..... to my first little red slash. Let principles & honesty reign. *Peace*
12/13/08 Just a reminder ... I have cats who like to nap in my workroom when I am in there. They on occasion will get me to light an incense too. Patchouli, Cedar, Sage or Lemongrass are the usual picks. I mention this as some people cannot handle the smell of old incense smoke, or may have allergies to kitties. I try to remember to put this in any listing containing books or tarot, but I sometimes forget (silly human trait). Also, I have a kittie who helps me choose your gifts for the Mystery Boxes. I try to make sure he doesn't gift you with any kittie hairs. Clean and pretty they are, but gifts ... no.
OK.....here's a rant on my current Ebay pet peeve.....
My current Ebay pet peeve is the people who put the cost of their item into shipping and then list their item at .01. You know the ones.....item costs .01, but shipping is like 34.99. <snorts> I have actually had a couple Ebayers email me back about the shipping saying "why should they pay the fees for Ebay listing if they can get around it?"
WHY????? Because it's called honesty ! ! !
If you can't make your money honestly on the auction bid.....then don't list it. It's plain & simple. The rest of us honest Ebayers work long and hard and we don't feel the need to cheat the system. Where else can you get world-wide exposure for an item at this low of a cost?
Then it makes me wonder.....if you must cheat Ebay out of its fees.....what else in life do you cheat on? try to get around? lie about? etc.....etc.....
To all the honest Ebayers.....I applaud you for sticking to your morals and being honest. To the cheaters.....may you all be caught and shut down. It's people like you that make the fees go up.
OK.....I think I'm done ranting for awhile. <phew>
*Peace*
12/13/08 First ... let me update you on the opening of my actual physical store that has been in the planning stages. I have decided that I don't have the energy it would take to run it. It's not the ordering, displaying, selling, paperwork, etc. Nor is it the gang of little old church ladies bad-mouthing me that has made me change my mind. Sadly, it is those who would choose to leave negative energies behind, trying to make it "their" place and not mine. Some of you may think "So, it's an easy clean everyday when you close." For some, yes ... this would be plain and simple. For me ... it would be draining (due to health problems that keep me on pain meds). I decided "Why should I have to use my energy cleaning space, when it can be used in other ways"? Oh, the shop will still go up, hubby getting the back part and I will be moving my Ebay operation out to the front part. Yeah! ... No more stairs. This is slated to start building next spring (economy willing). Until then ... 13 stairs up & 13 stairs down.
Now ... newest pet peeve ... PLEASE consider the current price & rising postage costs that it takes to deliver your packages (be it from me or any other seller). I have noticed that I have been given less than 5 stars on some of my shipping costs, but being given excellent comments in my feedback. I do charge $1.00 for supplies for shipping within The United States & $2.00 for supplies and the extra paperwork for International Shipping (which is stated in my "Me" page, all-be-it not in the actual listing). I do not think this is extreme by any means when you consider what packing materials cost (bubble-wrap, p-nuts, tape, on occasion buying boxes and not to mention gas prices come into play). I also pay for your Delivery Confirmation out of that $1.00 or $2.00, leaving me .82 cents to cover all those other costs to ensure your item arrives safely and in one piece. On the rare occasion (and it has happened) I really screw up and charges are accidently high, I DO refund the difference. This is and has always been my policy. The next time any of you choose to give me or any seller less than 5 stars for shipping costs ... think of those things. OK that's it for now ... Happy Holidays & as always *Peace*.
