What I run on!

Hi everybody! You have entered to my 'About Me' page. I am Gilbert, I have a Loving wife and 2 lovely daughters! As of 8-25-09. One is 3 1/2 years and the other 1 1/2 years! My favorite hobbies are: Research on internet ie. cars, what ALWAYS goes wrong with that certain make of car etc,or why a certain product is so popular etc etc. I love brousing Ebay and viewing some vintage 80's items I had when I was a kid. And of course my ULTIMATE hobby of all time... MUSIC! Ever since I learned about Ebay, my life has been a blast to live. I found dozens of items I was TOTALLY hopeless to find otherwise. Example, certain Atari 2600 games, certain LPs or older music albums, that is definitely NOT found in a local music store. I am a true fan of music, certian kinds music from 50s to 80s. But I especially love the DJ house music, THE DANCE MUSIC! the ones that are one of a kind, that cannot be obtained just ANYWHERE! But besides this, when I was 10 yrs til about 20 yrs (1980 til early 1990's), I justed LOVED to get my blank cassette tapes, the 60 minutes and the 90 minutes! Get on my home stereo (and those portable 80's boombox's), turn on the radio , and record every song I liked off the radio. I never bothered with getting the LPs or cassette albums of them. I commented. "I'm saving lots of money getting the music OFF the radio, haha!" But realistically I couldn't anyway, I was not gifted with tons of money to be able to do that in those days. As of right NOW (2009), I still have my collection of OFF the radio recorded blank tapes from my 1980s decade. By this time, I had already transferred my favorite "off the radio" songs to CDRs, then ultimately to MP3s! As I saw it, time went by and I decided that the quaility of the OFF the radio recordings are sort of low quality, not only that, a lot of incomplete or "part" songs. I now decided to go on a long lasting project to "replace" all the OFF the radio recordings with better quality sounding CDs or LPs  of that song. Or even easier, the music from the internet! As of today (8-2009), since the last several years, I made some MAJOR progress replacing the low quality off the radio recordings with MP3s or CDs, or LPs THANKS to the help of the You Tube community of IDENTIFYING those song I don't know the NAME of. (Posting unknown songs on You Tube) I still have some songs to get CDs or LPs of, BUT I don't know the name of that song or who sings it!  That's been a great challenge for me, to figure out the name of song or singer! Most of these songs in my question came from 80's or 70's. I do know one thing, that IF I knew the name, then its NO PROBLEM to get CD or LP.  BUT as of 8-09, after browsing the net and the music service I have. I have FOUND TONS of songs. Many by accident. A great phenomenon! This is mostly the way I been replacing those "off the radio" recorded songs.

   I also love to "go back in time" to some vintage items like what I (or we in the household) used to have when I was a teenager! And LOVE to talk (conversation) about what it was like for me as a teenager in 1980s, like the Atari 2600 videogames, that 80's 19" color TV, and that top loader VHS VCR, and the 80's portable radio cassette recorder, etc I had when I was 12 yrs. I can honestly say that some of MY most memorable times for me was the breakdancing days for some reason. 1984 & 85. I think because of the massive sales stores had for the Atari 2600 games. When I bought dozens of games day by day for $3 to $5 each! Not to mention all the break dancing music, LOVED IT!

Now when it comes to selling on Ebay, There is NO hiding any flaws here!! I MAKE IT CLEAR on my listing of what Im selling. ie, I CLEARLY state the condition of item, and ANY flaws, even minor, the item has. Also I dont like to charge Outragous prices for shipping either. Consider this though: Cost for shipping that I state, it also includes the FEES that I pay to LIST item, FINAL VALUE, and PAYPAL fees (AND THEY ARE NOT CHEAP). and Not to mention My time too. BUT also I may at times place a substantial price on shipping, so I can bring the asking price of item down. This is a way I know of on which I GET customer's attention, so I can sell my item. And the substantial price shipping helps me to get what I want for item (and what its REALLY worth). Hate to say it, but sometimes this is NECESSARY to do. ALSO for me, when it comes to BUYING on Ebay, I DONT CARE HOW LONG it takes to receive my item, as long as I get it! Also for me, I don't care HOW HIGH THE SHIPPING COST IS either, as long I CAN AGREE ON THE TOTAL PRICE of item, you should focus on TOTAL price, NOT shipping cost!!!!! I am NOT picky as well. I will ALWAYS expect a little flaw here and there. Its NORMAL for a little scratch here and there. When it comes to leaving feedback, I leave feedback for EVERYBODY I transact with. Cause you know how sometimes as much as half of the time, your seller or buyer don't leave feedback. Well for me, I leave everyone a feedback. For buyers however, particularly NEW ebayers, once buyer leaves a feedback, I will leave a feedback. BUT sellers can no longer leave negative! It will be appreciated you email about problems before leaving feedback! NO SPONTANIOUS NEGS please. Or youll make things "HARDER" for you! I RARELY need to leave Negative. But I do here and there encounter a bad selling or buying experience (but mostly when I buy). ie: Seller's TRICKY fine print. HATE THEM! Also when some sellers OFTEN hide the flaws of thier items for sale. ie, Sellers that sell CDs or DVDs that are burned (copied) and THEY DONT TELL US THAT THEY ARE BURNED on their listing, or example, if theyre selling a DVD player, they may say, "I dont have a DVD to test it with" So it is "as is". Then I buy it assuming its OK, then only to find DVD player doesnt work at all!! Tricked me! Sellers do that you know.

Not only that, some are NOT freindly!
