Disabled Online Users Association About Me Page

All auctions listed by this user ID will raise funds for The Disabled Online Users Association (DOUA), whose mission is to help disabled individuals achieve steps toward financial independence as online auction sellers. The funds raised through these auctions help to defray the costs of product and support.

On October 30, 2003 DOUA Launched "A Helping Hand" to Jumpstart Disabled eBay Sellers. The Disabled Online Users Association (DOUA) announced its program to help disabled individuals achieve steps toward financial independence as online auction sellers.

"Our goal at DOUA is to help the differently-abled become self-sufficient and independent," says Ms.Smith , Founder and Executive Director of The Disabled Online Users Association. "If you're disabled and would like to start your own online business, we can help."

Qualified participants, who include legally disabled persons already registered at www.eBay.com but who have not yet listed more than 5 auctions, may receive these materials and services:

Five (5) products to list on eBay
Available support from our Community Mentoring program.

Even if you do not qualify for the 5 free products, every qualified participant is eligible to use our Training Center and receive assistance by way of our Community Mentoring program. Let us help you make your business better.

Program participants will be required to post links to the resulting eBay auctions at the DOUA Training Center and may be asked to provide support for program newcomers.

To find out if you qualify, fill out and submit our online Student Interview.

For further information, visit the DOUA web site at www.doua.org or our Training Center at www.doua.org/tc.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER OF DOUA, MARJIE SMITH
Confined to a wheelchair by surgical complications 15 years ago, Ms. Smith has found her niche on the Internet. She has sold through her web site, eBay auctions and an eBay Store. She has made a home for herself and helped others, in similar circumstances, find a home online.

Selling through Ebay since 1998, she has also been very active in the online community. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Disabled Online Users Association (DOUA) ~ a network of able and disabled members learning and teaching how to sell on the Internet to earn a living.

Ms. Smith says, "Our service to you is truly the most important product we offer" and is known for offering a level of customer service most of us only vaguely remember.

DOUA is a member of eBay's VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) program and, as such, we monitor all auctions carefully to ensure that they comply with our program guidelines. If you use DOUA in your title, please be sure to have something in your auction template about your affiliation with us and a link to www.doua.org on your Me page. If we don't know who you are, and how you help us, your auction may be removed for non-compliance of program guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
