This page is linked to from every single listing we have on eBay. All relevant information has been provided on this page because it is far more convenient than repeating the same thing several hundred times every time we list a new item for sale. The payment information in all of our listings states that all buyers are required to read the information on this page before making a purchase from us, however that does NOT mean that you have to read it all word for word. You should simply be aware that the information is here, divided into relevant sections, for you to consult if you have any questions or concerns. Most of the questions that buyers would have are answered here, so we strongly recommend checking the information we have provided before sending us your inquiry, as we do occasionally get incredibly pointless questions from people who haven't even bothered to read the item listing or any of the information here. We do NOT respond to questions that have already been answered here due to the large volume of mail we receive, and we try are best to answer all other questions as soon as possible.


PAYMENT OPTIONS & DETAILS

PayPal:: We accept all methods of PayPal payments addressed to “sales@funeralgarden.com”. Paying through PayPal is free and safe, and because this is usually the fastest way to submit payment for eBay purchases, your order will be shipped sooner than it would if you had to wait for a money order to be mailed. All you need is a bank account or credit card to set up a PayPal account and make payments. We are a PayPal Verified Business and accept PayPal payments from every country.

Postal Money Orders:: We will only accept money orders that have been purchased from the POST OFFICE. If you live in the USA, this means purchasing an International Postal Money Order from any USPS outlet. These are always pink in color, which means they can be cashed outside of the USA. Do not send the green USPS money orders, as they cannot be cashed outside your country. If you live in Canada, your money order must be purchased from Canada Post. Customers from all other countries can pay by money order, but your money order will be held for two weeks by the bank, and your order will be shipped after as soon as it has cleared. If you are paying by money order and you live in the USA or Canada, we will notify you as soon as we receive your payment in the mail and ship your order within 48 hours. All money orders should be made out to “Tala de Sade” and customers need to indicate the eBay item number they are paying for. We get hundreds of orders a month, and cannot credit your payment unless the item number is provided.

NOTE:: These are the only two payment methods we accept, period. We absolutely will not accept checks. Payment should always be made in US dollars. If you would prefer to pay in Canadian funds, you must contact us first for approval of this change and the exchange rate we will accept.


PAYMENTS & POSTAGE DISCOUNTS

Buyers should be advised that if you purchase more than one item, eBay generally doesn’t have the capability to correctly calculate the shipping and handling costs. If you are purchasing multiple items, you should wait for an invoice before paying unless you are absolutely sure of the postage cost. DO NOT guess how much to pay and fill in a random amount, or send payment without paying for postage.

We always combine shipping and handling costs AND OFFER A DISCOUNT when you purchase multiple items within a 7-day period
, regardless of whether they are store inventory or auction listings. Unlike other sellers who charge ridiculously high shipping and handling fees, we only charge the actual cost of postage and a few dollars for handling on each item, and this is just to cover our eBay fees and other actual expenses. We offer a shipping and handling discount when you pay for your items together with one payment, because in doing so our fees are reduced and we can pass the savings along to you. We cannot offer a discount if you are making multiple payments on multiple items at different times.

If you bid on or purchase an item payment must be received within 10 days of the auction ending. If payment takes more than 10 days to arrive, we cannot guarantee that your item will still be available or in stock, and there could either be a delay in your order being shipped. If for any reason you know that your payment will take more than 10 days to get here, you should notify us so that we can make a note of it (it’s the courteous thing to do and will help to make the transaction more convenient on both ends). We understand that life is complicated and that both people and mail get delayed, so we try to be as lenient as possible in extending time to receive payment if unforeseen circumstances arise and you let us know about it.

Bidding on an item from any seller on eBay means that you are entering into a legally binding contract. If payment has not been received within 10 days, it is standard procedure in ALL cases to file an Unpaid Item Report with eBay. It is not a personal attack against the buyer, but a necessary course of action to prevent unpaid items and weed out deadbeat bidders. All disputes are closed as soon as payment has been received (not before), and as long as you do pay for the item you purchased, your eBay record will not be harmed in any way. If payment is not received within a reasonable amount of time (generally 30 days) and we receive no communication from the buyer, this will lead to an Unpaid Item Strike along with Negative Feedback.

If you are paying by PayPal, you will automatically receive a receipt from PayPal e-mailed to the address you have on file with them verifying that you have made payment. You can also view the same receipt and confirmation by logging into your PayPal account and viewing your recent activity. If you are paying by money order, WE WILL NOTIFY YOU as soon as your payment has been received in our mailbox. For these reasons, we kindly ask that buyers DO NOT send us messages asking if we’ve received their payment, because that question has clearly been answered. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we do not respond to such messages. If paying by PayPal, you can verify payment automatically. If paying by money order, all buyers know they will be sent a receipt of payment notification through eBay and these notifications stay on file for 60 days in My eBay.

SHIPPING TO THE UNITED STATES

~ OPTION #1, LETTERMAIL: The cheapest shipping option. According to Canada Post regulations, Lettermail can only be used to send small parcels weighing less than 500 grams, and the parcel must be less than 2 cm thick. This method does NOT include insurance, and insurance is highly recommended as we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items if insurance is not purchased. We only recommend the Lettermail option to buyers who simply want the cheapest method of shipping available, and who are willing to take responsibility if the item is lost or damaged. We can offer proof of shipment with this option, as Canada Post requires that a customs form be filled out which includes the customer's mailing address, date of shipment, the postal outlet it was mailed from, the postage cost, the weight of the parcel and the sender's name. We keep a carbon copy of all these customs forms, which are officially stamped on the back by the Canada Post outlet it was mailed from to guarantee authenticity. Once again, the Lettermail option does NOT include insurance and the buyer alone is responsible in the event that the parcel is lost or damaged, but we can offer proof of shipment as we maintain a completely honest and well-documented business. Takes approximately 7 to 10 business days to arrive.
~ OPTION #2, INSURED AIRMAIL: This option is technically referred to as "Small Packet Airmail" and includes insurance, but does not have tracking. We fill out the same customs forms that we would for the Lettermail option, and thus can offer proof of shipment. The only difference with these customs forms is that insurance is included on them, and while they also take approximately 7 to 10 days to arrive depending where in the United States you live, in the highly unlikely event that your parcel should be lost or damaged, we can submit a formal claim to Canada Post requesting compensation. The buyer should beware that we take fraudulent claims very seriously, and anyone who submits a fake claim of a lost or damaged item will be reported to eBay without hesitation. In the years that I have been selling online, I've found that statistically only 1 in 500 parcels are lost or damaged, so this is a very rare occurrence. The "Insured Airmail" option is only offered on parcels weighing up to 500 grams, at which point all orders are automatically upgraded to "Expedited Parcel" because they are both in the same price range, but Expedited also includes tracking and is somewhat faster.
~ OPTION #3, EXPEDITED PARCEL: This is the shipping method that we would recommend to all United States customers, because it has tracking as well as insurance and is somewhat faster than the previous two methods. Pricing for Expedited shipping starts at $12.99 and goes up from there depending on the size and weight of the parcel, and where in the United States it is being shipped to. It is suggested but not required that you provide your telephone number when using this shipping method, simply because there is a place for it on the more detailed customs form and your local postal outlet can call you if there are any problems (if it's been sitting there waiting for you to pick it up for a few days, if you've recently moved, etc.).
~ OPTION #4, XPRESSPOST OR PUROLATOR: These methods both offer an on-time guarantee and are faster than the previous three shipping options, but obviously more expensive. The price varies depending on the weight/size of the parcel and where in the United States you live, but if you are in a hurry it will get your order there in just a few business days you can always request a quote from us for either of these options. Xpresspost generally takes 5 or 6 business days, whereas Purolator can get it there in 2 or 3. Both include insurance and tracking.
~ OPTION #5, UPS: We usually don't ship individual items via UPS, because more often than not it's cheaper to use Canada Post. But if you are placing a large order or simply wish to request this method, it is one that we always have available.


SHIPPING WITHIN CANADA

~ OPTION #1, LETTERMAIL: The cheapest shipping option. We are located in Peterborough, Ontario so the length of time your parcel will take to reach you depends on how far away you live from us. Lost or damaged shipments within Canada are virtually unheard of, and we do take great care in securely packaging our shipments, which is something anyone can verify through our years of accumulated positive feedback on eBay. But just to be as clear as possible, we cannot an will not offer compensation to any buyer who does not care to purchase insurance and claims to have a lost or damaged item. We also reserve the right to refuse to ship uninsured parcels to any buyers with low or negative feedback ratings, and we do this only to protect ourselves against fraudulent claims.
~ OPTION #2, EXPEDITED PARCEL: This method includes insurance as well as tracking and the cost is based on where in Canada you live and the size and weight of the parcel. This is the shipping method we would recommend to all Canadian customers. Pricing is extremely reasonable, especially if you are placing a large order because the cost will only go up by a few dollars if you triple the size of your order. The cost of Expedited shipping is listed in almost all of our listings, and it a guarantee that you will save money on shipping if you combine multiple items into a single order.
~ OPTION #3, XPRESSPOST: This method offers an on-time guarantee and is faster than the previous two shipping options, but obviously more expensive and includes tracking and insurance. The price varies depending on the weight/size of the parcel and where in Canada you live. If you are in a hurry to receive an order and don’t mind paying a bit more for shipping, you can always contact us and ask for a quote if Xpresspost isn‘t listed as an option (you’ll need to include your postal code, the eBay item numbers you wish to purchase, and let us know when you want the order there by).
~ OPTION #4, UPS: We usually don't ship individual items via UPS, because more often than not it's cheaper to use Canada Post. But if you are placing a large order or simply wish to request this method, it is one that we always have available.

Canada Post charges a flat rate of $11.95 to register a letter on top of the cost of postage, but doing so adds tracking and insurance. This is the cheapest method available to add tracking and insurance to a parcel being shipped internationally, but the restrictions on size are tight.
~ OPTION #4, XPRESSPOST: This is the shipping option that we would recommend to all international customers. Xpresspost includes insurance as well as tracking and an on-time guarantee. The exact cost of shipping and handling is based on what country you live in, and the weight and size of the parcel being mailed to you. It is a safe and secure method of shipping, and you know that your order will reach you within a reasonable amount of time with few hassles.
~ OPTION #5, PUROLATOR: This is basically the same as Xpresspost as it has both tracking and insurance, but it is also much faster and more expensive. It is what you would use for a rush order, if you wanted to receive something in 2 or 3 business days and didn’t mind paying a higher price for the postage. The exact cost of shipping and handling is based on what country you live in, and the weight and size of the parcel being mailed to you.
~ OPTION #6, UPS: We usually don't ship individual items via UPS, because more often than not it's cheaper to use Canada Post. But if you are placing a large order or simply wish to request this method, it is one that we always have available.


We kindly ask that buyers do not contact us asking if there is a tracking number when tracking is not purchased. As is clearly indicated in the shipping options above, Lettermail is the only option that does not include insurance, and we have made it absolutely clear that we cannot and will not be responsible for lost or damaged items if you as a mature adult make the choice to decline it. Insurance, tracking, speedy delivery and numerous other options are offered to each and every one of our customers no matter where in the world you are, so we kindly ask that if you make the choice to decline any one of them, not to be a hypocrite and complain at a later time that you wish you had selected a different shipping option and demand that we somehow offer compensation for your choice. Any instances of buyer fraud are promptly reported to eBay.

We send shipping notifications to every one of our customers within 24 hours of mailing their order, letting them know when it was shipped an reminding them of approximately how long it should take to reach them. We ship a minimum of twice weekly, so you can expect your order to be shipped within 1 to 3 business days. If you have opted for tracking, you will be sent the tracking number with the notification. We kindly ask that buyers DO NOT send us messages asking whether their order has been shipped, or asking when it will be shipped - the information has been provided here as clearly as possible, and we will not respond to such inquiries. All shipping notifications will remain on file in each buyer’s eBay inbox for 60 days. We also will not respond to messages asking “if you know when my order will get here” or wondering why it isn't there yet, as once again that information has been clearly provided both here as well as with each shipping notification we send out. Any delays in delivery have to do with the postal service and are not within the buyer’s or seller’s control. In the unlikely event that your order has not been received within 30 days, AND you have purchased insurance, than we will absolutely respond to your request for further assistance.


FEEDBACK POLICY

Our feedback policy is simple: We leave all buyers positive feedback once a transaction has been completed, which means that the buyer has paid for and received their order and has left feedback for the transaction confirming this. The reason we do not automatically leave feedback once a buyer pays is that we have unfortunately come across a few “bad apples” out there who days or sometimes weeks after a transaction will be found to have committed fraud, theft or other forms of deception and this usually ends up extending to more than one seller. There are times that sellers have made the mistake of leaving feedback as soon as a buyer pays, only to find out later that they have been scammed and cannot remove or alter the feedback to warn others. We learned the hard way not to fall into this trap, and we ALWAYS leave positive feedback for our buyers once the transaction has been completed and both parties are satisfied. Disputes of any sort are very rare. About once a week we sort through all completed transactions and return all positive feedback that has been left. Please do not message us asking us to leave feedback for a transaction, as this is a full-time business and we always do so at our earliest convenience.


COMMUNICATION POLICY

Our policy about communication is also quite simple: We only contact buyers through the eBay messaging system, and this is the only place that we reply to messages received regarding eBay transactions. We do not accept nor do we respond to messages sent to us regarding an eBay purchase if sent from anywhere outside of the eBay messaging system, and we do not intrude on anyone’s privacy by contacting them over the phone. We do NOT accept personal e-mails. This is due to the fact that we try our best to ensure the security and privacy of our buyers. E-mail accounts are far too often hacked into, it is easy for con artists to imitate a buyer through e-mail, and like many others we receive fraudulent and spoof e-mails on an all too regular basis. You can always contact us directly through eBay by clicking on the “Ask seller a question” link in any of our listings. The e-mail address “sales@funeralgarden.com” is used only to for PayPal payments, and any business inquires NOT related to an eBay purchase or transaction.


RETURN POLICY

Returns will be accepted only under the following conditions:

1) The item must be returned within 7 days of the date you received it. You must contact us to let us know that you are returning the item as well as the date you received it and the date you shipped it back.
2) We will not refund the shipping and handling. If you choose to reship it with a method that does not include tracking, you do so at your own risk and we will not be responsible for anything that gets lost in the mail.
3) When we receive the item back, it must be in the same condition as it was when it left us. We will not accept damaged returns, thus it is your responsibility to properly package the item before returning it.
4) If these conditions are met, we will issue you a full refund of the purchase price, minus a $5.00 restocking fee.
5) We respect the fact that a buyer may want to return an item for personal or financial reasons. However, wanting to return an item is not a basis for leaving negative feedback for us or any other seller. We will not take returns from anyone who has posted us negative feedback.
