A few words about SHIPPING:
The shipping price quoted is the exact maximum cost for shipping your item from coast (seller is west coast) to coast. If you live in closer proximity to the west coast and your item is over 1 pound, your shipping may be less than quoted. If the shipping you pay exceeds $1 over the actual cost, the difference will be refunded.
I prefer to ship domestic packages USPS priority mail, unless otherwise mentioned. However, in the case of extrememly heavy packages, I do offer both parcel and FedEx Home Delivery options. FedEx Home Delivery does include tracking as well as insurance. Of course, insurance is optional for all items, and is provided at my expense as a "thank you" for any items that sell for over $50.
International customers, because of recent postal increases here in the US I now offer a choice of Global Priority, which includes Delivery Confirmation and insurance, or 1st Class International, which includes insurance. Insurance is provided through a 3rd party carrier.
I encourage all items that sell over $50USD to be shipped Global Priority and request that all items selling over $100USD be shipped Global Express Mail Service which includes tracking and insurance through the US Post Office.
Please note: At times it may take up to 14 BUSINESS days (exluding Saturday, Sunday and bank/postal holidays) for funds to clear my PayPal account. Unfortunately, because of the occassional past bidder payment not clearing and the package had shipped as a service to the customer before clearance, I will no longer do this. All payments must clear PayPal or the bank if paying by check before shipping.
Most "soft" items 1 pound and under can be shipped in a tyvec envelope. Larger items, embellished items or items heavily decorated with rhinestones or items with fragile/fancy buttons may be boxed which will increase the weight of the package and therefore the cost.
All "fragile" items will be shipped boxed, of course. Pottery, glass, etc are first wrapped in tissue individually, then wrapped in small bubble bubble wrap. The box is filled with peanuts with a cardboard divider between each piece so they won't ding together during shipping.
All paper items, magazines and books, will be place between cardboard and cushioned with bubble wrap, even when they are shipped in an envelope (manilla, padded, or tyvec) to prevent bending.
WHY WE LOVE TO COMBINE SHIPPING...
I LOVE my repeat customers, especially when purchasing two or more items at the same time and the customer requests TO COMBINE SHIPPING.
As I ship by actual weight only, the increase is nominal if at all--many times I am able to ship two pieces for the price of one. So please email and I will always be glad to get the exact cost of shipping an additional item because--
It's not just about saving a couple of bucks on shipping. By combining shipping we are saving on shipping boxes, tissue paper, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, even tape! Every little bit counts as we try to use less...so please, remember--we here will always be happy to combine shipping....and please as a buyer remember to do your part and reuse those packing peanuts, bubble wrap, and boxes. If you don't need them for shipping, an ebay seller near you will be happy to use them. And if you don't need that box your item is shipped in, please remember to recycle! This now ends your public service announcement.
HOW TO MEASURE
As most of my buyers are aware, vintage sizing is quite different from modern clothing and even 80s garments are sized much differently than 50s or even current clothing. Also, measurements vary widely from label to label, country to country, manufacture to manufacture.
So be sure to stay safe and satisfied by comparing garments up for auction or sale with a like item in your current wardrobe. We at the FunqueJunque would hate to hear our customers complain of “closets and drawers filled with nothing to wear!”. And we all know that if it doesn’t fit, it was ugly anyway.
PAYMENT POLICY
PayPal is the preferred method of payment. Money orders and personal checks are accecpted with a 7 business day hold placed on all checks. Items will ship on the Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday proceeding receipt of payment or check clearance.
Money orders are gladly accepted. The item will ship on the Tuesday, Thursday or Friday proceeding the day the payment is received.
Personal or business checks are gladly accepted. However, there is a 10 business day hold on all checks as this is the time that Bank of America puts a hold on the funds. The item will ship on the Tuesday, Thursday or Friday proceeding the date the funds are cleared.
CASH IS DISCOURAGED
Please let me know if an item needs to be expedited and I will try to accommodate as my schedule permits—it usually does, but Monday through Wednesday sometimes finds myself not being able to make a postal deadline.
REFUNDS
Please read all auction information before bidding. If there is a problem or concern with your item, please email and let me know. Although I try my best to accurately reflect the condition, and description of an item, from time to time an issue is bound to arise.
In that case, please let me know so we can reach an amicable agreement. |
